  1. Who has the feeling MON will just take 30m, without getting Ireland in.
  2. He's 31 this year, might as well get a new one in.
  3. But he's not that good now. Or have you not seen him play for City and England recently? Erm and no, he's not indispensable to England, Lamps and StevieMe are.
  4. Not a bad midfield methinks, just the lack of cover that concerns me.
  5. Modric? Palacios? Dawson? All good enough. Just put maybe one top class striker (Fabiano), a defender that is better than Bassong and less injury prone than King and hope Huddlestone develops quickly and viola.
  6. If MON doesn't get Ireland and only gets McGeady in...shit.
  7. Erm what's wrong with a player wanting a move to another club? I'd rather he stay, and I'm disappointed that apparently he wants to go to City where he probably won't get many games, but I think we should all praise his conduct rather than condemn him. I mean, he's hardly gone all over the news flaunting how much he wanted to play for City as he. Gareth "I wanna go for CL" Barry on the other hand, I can understand. Bottom line, Milner didn't lie, isn't pressurizing MON to go ahead with the transfer, isn't **** around with the media. Compared to a lot of the other footballers around, he's a saint.
  8. I **** hate Man City. I really admire Donovan and think he'd just be ruined there. I liked him at Everton and Artetasgirls should correct me if I'm wrong but he looked like he fit in well. Would have loved him at VP too if I'm being honest. America have a couple of cracking players! I'll be honest, I can't see him there. You said the same about Lescott and I'm sure you thought Arteta's head would never be turned. Come AG there all the same, every singe player. Big differences. 1. Donovan has had experience with Bayern Munich. He won't want to experience a repeat of his time there. 2. Donovan isn't moving from Everton, he's moving from the MLS! If anyone wants to prise him away they will have to deal with the MLS authorities, not Everton.
  9. **** no I wouldn't want Barry anyway near VP at all, he's **** shite these days. 15 mill plus Ireland would clinch it for me. Oh, throw in Onuoha as well.
  10. Just realized we have the same sponsor as Fulham this year. This sucks.
  11. Funny that, the four who voted that we would win the league.
  12. Eh he's not that bad actually, still first choice forward for the Czech national side and more importantly top scorer in Turkey during the 08-09 season. No Torres obviously but not Jason Scotland either.
  13. Cracking signing for them, didn't realize he was that old though.
  14. ...to be honest, I stopped at 'special players like Stewart Downing....' Ever watched him play for Boro?
  15. I'm no economist but here's something interesting I found. (Use your own discretion when reading)
  16. If MON does that we'll have to play 451 or we'll be ****. to be fair, everyone said the same when i was saying milner should play in the middle a couple of seasons ago, so you never know how these things will work out True, I guess Still would prefer Milner to stay, considering we don't have to sell to buy (apparently). Anyway come to think of it wasn't Downing outstanding for Boro in the middle rather than out on the wing?
  17. If MON does that we'll have to play 451 or we'll be ****.
  18. a bit of an over-reaction there!!! we did well when lost Barry and I expect us to do the same without JM get a grip,McGeady wont be Milners replacement, and tbh Milner going isnt enough to just turn us in to a mid table team ffs he wasnt that good. Yup but last season we had Milner to step in for Barry and he turned out to be just as good, if not better. Can we honestly say that Aiden "can't-get-into-Ireland-team-ahead-of-feckin-Liam-Lawrence" McGeady can do that if Milner leaves? who say's that McGeady will be stepping in to take over from Milner?.anyway this time last year when Barry was sold.i said Milner would be the one to take over and i was shot down for it,im sure what ever happens MON will make the right choice he hasn't done to bad so far. Hmm who do you think will replace Milner if he goes then? Out of the 3 you listed... Downing? Maybe but he's too lightweight, and I didn't get the sense that MON ever saw him as a central midfielder. NRC is a totally different sort of a player. Maybe Delph but he's injured for the first half of the season.

Can we honestly say that Aiden "can't-get-into-Ireland-team-ahead-of-feckin-Liam-Lawrence" McGeady can do that if Milner leaves? Milner wasn't primed as Barry's replacement either if you recall - he didn't start centrally until mid november, I don't think McGeady will be his direct replacement - if anyone is to get the 'job' replacing JM it'll probably be Downing, NRC or Delph (when back from injury) (and I still think you're over-reacting :winkold: ) We agree to disagree then. but part of me thinks that we've still managed to improve every season despite selling our best players / seeing them retire and this lucky run is going to end soon.
