That was stupid, I'll say that straight. But MON isnt perfect, not even Ferguson or Wenger is (Kleberson, Silvestre etc). At the end of the day though I feel he will get us into a very strong league position...FFS he got Leicester of all teams into the top half every season. So no matter how many shit matches he screws up his tactics in, we should trust him to get it right OVER THE LONG TERM
Its hard to say really but at the end of the day its a results business. We didnt get the result today but over the long term MON will get us the results to push for 4th, if not break into the top four. One commentator (forgot who) mentioned at the start of the season that he was tipping Villa to push for the top 4 as "when have you seen an O'Neill team struggle?" Sums it up really.
No coincidence Leicester went down after MON left.
Ive always thought Davies is our best defender, I think we missed him today. NRC and Sidders as well (MON -.- )
But yeah 442, then 415 for **** sake cost us the match.
After 5 wins on the trot.
The run was always going to end. Yes today MON had gotten it wrong tactically but how many times have we seen him get it right? E.g. vs Brum
Give the man who has never failed at any of the clubs he's managed a chance
We are talking about the teams outside the NEXT 4 (Spurs, City, Villa, Everton). IMO Stoke, Sunderland etc are better than the likes of Racing Santander. Anyway Spanish football is boring, and this is coming from someone who isn't British
Simple for me really... both Milner and Ash can cross (Young's crossing is underrated imo) but Milner doesn't dribble and/or beat men often so Young for me. Defensively though Milner is better which gives us options. At any rate both are cracking players
