  1. Yeah sure but six **** nil?!!!!
  2. You're not shocked at losing 6-0 to a newly promoted team? I can understand if we lost by one or 2 goals but 6-0 is one HUGE m-fing shock.
  3. But he was the answer apparently. He has to be used correctly. Kuyt has a poor first touch but he did pretty well at the WC didn't he?
  4. Seriously, how is it possible to put in such a class performance a week ago and put in utter shite a week later with what is almost the exact same team?
  5. We're this year's Wigan, Wigan are this year's Derby/Pompey.
  6. Couldn't agree more. **** refereeing, **** SJP.
  7. Defensively maybe. But I absolutely cannot believe how badly we are losing given the quality of our passing in the first 20 minutes or so. Oh funny how the game against Spam was the best we've seen in years as well eh?
  8. But it's 4-0 to a team that frankly most of us love to laugh at. Still do, they are not very good at all and would have beaten a lot of teams today, especially given the lift of seeing a Pen missed so early. We sent them down and this is payback. We'll lose to worse sides than this too in the future, we'll beat far better sides as well. As an aside I cannot think of a club with more players you would wish simply disappeared from your screens.... A Smith Nolan Prisoner Barton Carroll Seriously, I don't see how it's possible that we have the right to mock Newcastle after a drubbing like this. Remember the laughter on here after the 5-1 against Small Heath?
  9. Cuellar back at rb again?! I would play Clark, we aren't going to make any progress this year in the league imo so might as well groom some future England internationals. Albrighton as well. Would defo drop Warnock, so maybe Luke at leftback again?
  10. The league is getting stranger every season. I rmb when I started watching football a decade ago shock results happened once in a while but it was never 4 or 5-0.
  11. But it's 4-0 to a team that frankly most of us love to laugh at.
  12. What a **** embarrassment, we actually didn't play that badly but our defence was horrible and that cost us. (I know the game is still on)
  13. Can't see us winning tbh. Our bogey team.
  14. Play Clark! It's the only way he will learn and develop into a top class defender.
  15. Great start to his liverpool career though, getting sent off (and banned for three matches) and missing a pen. Congrats joe Penalty miss aside people are saying he had a decent game.
  16. I'm beginning to think getting a lesser known manager, a reserve manager such as KM with plenty of experience with coaching youth is the way to go. Big name managers tend to stick with more experienced players, see Benitez and Mancini etc, so if we wanted to make full use of our undoubted talent in the youth ranks I think KM would actually be a good choice as manager. Just look at Guardiola.

What a performance, simply splendid. Let's not however forget to take a look at the West Ham team sheet before getting carried away because that was a shit shit team. When was the last time you saw Boa Morte play? Friedel - 8 Had little to do but did well when it counted. Had worries after preseason that he was fading but based on this performance he should be fine. Luke - 8 We saw what playing a right back at right back :winkold: can do to our attacking play today. Great display. Warnock - 8 Like Luke, little fault with him, one or two misplaced passers but overlapped very well and was solid in defense. Dunne - 6 Weakest link today IMO, not a terrible performance but he was outpaced a few times and certainly seems to have lost a little pace. Clark - 9 Read the game magnificently, think I lost count of the number of interceptions he made. Good distribution as well. Petrov - 9 Captain's performance, absolutely bossed the midfield. Milner - 10 See Petrov. Idk why I gave him a perfect score, maybe because he's leaving. Idk. Ash - 9 Fantastic in that free role, gave us much needed creativity and movement. We look much more fluid with him in the side. Albrighton - 9 Great performance from the young lad, a bit disappointed with his crossing though but his all round game looks excellent. Downing - 8 A good performance but no way was he MOTM. Will do wonders for his confidence though, let's hope he carries that throughout the season. Carew - 8 Never lost the ball, held the line well. Only reason he didn't get a 9 or 10 was because he fluffed an unbelievable number of chances, and we cannot afford to be that wasteful in front of goal. Fantastic display, but as I said, don't get carried away. Blackpool whopping Wigan doesn't mean they will win the league, similarly thrashing a frankly shit West Ham side doesn't mean this season will be a success. Encouraging nonetheless.
  18. We still have one half of the game to go, and 37 games as well.
  19. Wigan are at home as well  What a performance, hopefully we keep it up in the second half.
  20. Please explain why Klinsmann. People keep saying his name. What has he done besides fail. 2006 WC was all Loew but Klinsmann took the glory. Why is Loew the current manager and not Klinsmann? What club has Klinsmann managed? Bayern Munich. How did that go? Terrible. He got the boot. FFS Holloway is a better manager. Why does it have to be an internationally-known former footballer with limited managerial experience over a lesser known one with years of experience. Why do people say Klinsmann and not Magath. It's a **** joke. Sorry. Valid points on Klinsmann. :winkold: Sorry for the rant. Just seen his name bandied about and it scares me to death that Lerner and Co. might actually consider him as a legitimate target. You do him a disservice to belittle his impact for the German national side. The DFB wanted him to stay, as did the vast majority of German supporters. What does that tell you? Loew stopping on was very much the next best option. But kudos to him for what he has done since. Klinsmann would be the most high profile of all the candidates listed, and if we were looking to go that route -to improve our global image and so forth- the appointment would make sense. If nothing else, think of the help he could give forwards like Gabby and The Fonz re movement and positioning (and diving). He has also been in the game long enough to have sufficient contacts to bridge any knowledge gaps he might have. Loew was his choice as an assistant, don't forget. Its not beyond the realms of possibility that he might appoint a very capable coaching staff to cover the things he is not so hot at. I think there are some managers that are better at international management than club management, Klinsmann being one of them.
  21. Top 4 without a doubt. Real progress is made in the league - just look at Pompey.
