  1. They’ve just spent £450,000,000 on the site in the last 5 years. They might cut back some production temporarily, but long term, that’s a heck of a lot of money to write off. Brexit is a worry for them though.
  2. Diame would be yet another old player, here for a payday, blocking our kids. No thanks
  3. This was a game where the result matched our performance. We’ve been getting away with good results from relatively turgid performances. Never really troubled their keeper, not sure what coaching goes on at Bodymoor, most teams we play seem to move the ball smoother and quicker than we do. Still not sure Bruce is the man to sustain a promotion push. Hope I’m wrong.
  4. Lacks pace. For a winger, that is a problem.
  5. Absolute rubbish today. Just not good enough for where we want to be.
  6. We really shouldn’t deny one of our own youngsters a start, in order to accommodate a Spurs loanee. Or a has been from Stoke.
  7. Just not good enough. Innefective and pretty much anonymous. A better player is required, before he costs us against the better teams in the division.
  8. With the Tories, it’s always Party before country.
  9. They’d be leaking a lot more if he’d stayed.
  10. Don’t play Hutton, and we’ve got a chance.
  11. We no longer make many of those products due to so many of our Industries perishing on the altar of monetarism during Thatchers reign. We will still have to buy those things from Germany, they will simply cost us more. Our goods on the other hand ...
  12. If Trump wasn’t President, I would probably temper my pessimism somewhat. Unfortunately he is.
  13. The US will promise all sorts of deals to the UK. Then when we’ve finally left the EU, expect the gloves to come off. It’ll be our negotiators job to get a decent deal. I don’t expect them to get one. It’s in the USA’s interests to see the EU crumble. They can pick us all off economically, apart from Germany, The EU united, can take them on, and they know it. Don’t believe anythingTrump says, but on this especially so. Bombardier is but a foretaste of what’s to come.
  14. He’s shit. Please don’t play him.
  15. The 5th largest economy that is part of the wealthiest trading bloc in the world. Leaving the EU will leave us isolated and vulnerable in a world where trade is increasingly controlled by economic behemoths. What we offer to the world will be considerably less outside the EU than in it.
  16. Every trade deal we currently enjoy with the rest of the world is an EU deal. One of the nightmares Brexit will do is force us to renegotiate every one of those deals as a small country . I’m sure Liam Fox will do a grand job of it
  17. Not the best criteria to pick a team though. I prefer talent to be my bench mark. Not sure Whelan has ever merited a 7 for us. The guy may well be someone who would never give his manager cause for concern regarding his behaviour and character, but that doesn’t make him an effective player on the pitch. As I said, I would hate to see any of our talented younger players kept out by someone who has his best days behind him.
  18. Not sure what “solid pro”, means. He’s either good enough or he isn’t. I think he’s been something of a disappointment. He was at best a workman like player for Stoke, sadly he seems to have left his better days there. Slow, often caught in possession, not really clever enough to be playing a central role, slows play up far too much for me. Would hate to see some of our younger talent denied a chance by this, imo, poor signing.
  19. Whelan would not bein my best IX. Not even in my best 15 truth be told. However Gabby wouldn't even be in my club if I had my way.
  20. True. We may have had some good results, but our performances have been poor. Over a season, that will mean that we could just as easily lose as many as we win. Performances simply must improve, over to you Steve Bruce.
