  2. Just the kind of banana skin we might slip on. No complacency Villa. All wins have to be earned. They also have a lot to play for.
  3. Rearranged for Tuesday 13th March.
  4. Down to Bruce this. His team selections reek of cowardice.
  5. We never pressure the player in possession. It’s too easy to cross unopposed into our box.
  6. Not good enough to hold back our own young talent to accommodate a Spurs player of the same age.
  7. Simply nowhere near good enough for the Premiership.
  8. That guy behind with the Golden bellend round his neck looks a a few penny’s short of a quid. Thick as planks the lot of them. Seen more brain cells in an Amoeba.
  9. Hear what your saying. But honestly this run could go on. When we played Cardiff at Ninian Park in November 1974, we lost 3-1. I was there and we were struggling in the lower half of the table.......we only lost 1 more game that season, on a mud pile at Leyton Orient. Got promoted 2nd just behind the Mancs. We were like a juggernaut, great days. Here’s hoping we do the same again.
  10. Looking at that picture, you do fear for this country’s future
  11. Unlike you I don’t feel qualified to speculate on his friends and families feelings towards him, only my own, he came across as a thoroughly decent man.
  12. The clue is in “global”.As I say, I have met him, and unlike you, I’ll judge him as I found him. Calling him an idiot is just silly. I think you’ll find someone far more deserving of that accolade is the current incumbent of No 10.
  13. History I think will be a little kinder to Big Gord than you. As Chancellor, he presided over the longest period of sustained economic growth ever. As Prime Minister , he took up the challenge of the Global banking crisis and prevented what could have been a total meltdown. Compared to the utter idiots in charge of the disaster that is upon us now, he looks like a rock of competence. Having met him, and listened to him, I can honestly say he is one of the warmest and most caring politicians one could hope to meet. Pity he isn’t still PM. Wouldn’t be suffering the shit storm were having now.
  14. The Burton player ran past the front of Hutton. Terry had lost him, Hutton should have reacted, he simply watched the guy. As I say , in the Premiership he would be crucified. No new contract, is the club showing they also realise this.
  15. Caught daydreaming for Burtons second yesterday. He’d be crucified in the Premiership. Thanks for your efforts Allan, all the best , bye.
  16. Offer a free vote in Parliament as to whether there should be another referendum. It really is an issue that should be beyond Party politicking.
  17. I believe eligible Pensions are protected up to 90% by the Govt pension protection fund. The reason the Govt went after Sir Philip Green so hard was because they didn’t want to pick up the tab.
  18. Defined benefit pensions are vastly superior to defined contribution schemes. They pay out better returns than simply investing a savings pot. Annuity returns have collapsed. Why do you think so many companies have closed final salary schemes. I worked 39 years at JLR. Nothing special, just an ordinary car worker. I retired last year with a good pension. If you have a choice always choose defined benefits.
  19. At this level he’s okay. Always seems to have a problem when pressured by an attacker, and not sure about his fitness, he was badly out of breath compared to Terry yesterday. If we go up , not sure he would be good enough in the Premiership, he wasn’t good enough for the barcodes at that level. But at the moment along with Terry he’s the best we’ve got.
