    Don't ask why, but I ended up watching 'Dead Calm' (late 80's guff) with Sam Neill and Nicole Kidman yesterday. The ending of the film is bloody atrocious!

    I thought you wanted to give Clark the captaincy. I was wrong, as I judged players on their attitudes of last season.Yet Dunne so far this season..His attitude(and performances)have been top drawer and whilst in the form he is in, if he was captain I think it would rub off well on the rest of the team. Ah, but did you not want Dunne shipped out because of his attitude to GH last year?? :?

    Where would our goal have come from if Petrov hadn't have pushed forward?! Think it's clear that he's been encouraged to shoot more from distance. Led to Bent's goal against Blackburn, had one inches over against Fulham.....so it's been pretty effective so far.

    Haha! MOTD didn't even mention us in their analysis! They spent about 2 minutes and 10 replays on Sturridge's/Wes Brown's own goal, but didn't even mention Petrov's!

    All we needed was the honeytrap thread and this has become a wonderful place again!!! I spent about 30 seconds in the VT forum this evening, saw some guff from the usual suspects and just went straight back to the honeytrap thread instead. Marvellous!

    Mcleish, comfortably. Houllier didn't have us winning, scoring goals or entertaining either! I can remember about 3 halves of football last season where we truly had that. 2 of those were under Mcdonald and Mcallister!

    Someone mentioned in a previous thread that he's going back to only having to beat one man again rather than having 2 or 3 stapled to him all game like it was in the last couple of years here. With all the space being created by the other forwards at United, he was always going to up his game and do what he does best. It is good to see him play well and scoring goals like he did today - he was wonderful for us and left in completely the right, respectful way. See Modric at Spurs for the mirror opposite!

    I'm just stunned that Stoke are getting themselves in a position to sign Palacios.....it will make them even more of a swine to play at their place.

    Bloody hell, some people are going way overboard - we looked solid and Given had one half save to make all game, and we had something like 18 attempts on goal?? After last season where we looked like we could concede at any moment, letting in 1 goal in 3 games, unbeaten......I'm happy with that.
