  1. Beatboxing. I'd watch a beat-boxer with the same level of interest as in say, a plate spinner. Or a juggler. Impressive for about 15 seconds, then pointless. Apparently 'Plan B' has a beatboxer as his support who plays for half a bloody hour.
  2. They were great, no doubt. But there's nothing wrong with staying great rather than getting back together for one last pay-day.....
  3. There's no way QPR had 12 shots on target in the whole game, let alone the first half!!
  4. In fairness, bar a pot-shot from Tarrabt, they haven't looked like scoring either. We've ended the half well.
  5. Couldn't have put it better myself, come on Villa! Big day for Ireland, show us what you can do.
  6. No one mentioned a Churchillian effort, just a fighting spirit. But they way you put it I'm surprised the players bothered to try and equalise then or even defend whilst getting said battering. If you dont think that coming from behind twice in any game is showing a fighting spirit then I guess you will always be one to moan. Then I guess I will always be the one to moan, particularly when we lack any shape, cohesion and desire to be winning games. To me, where are currently stuck in an abyss, not moving forward, slowly getting sucked down. No focus for the club, no plan apart from cut wage bill, it is aimless shite. Slowly getting sucked down to where? We're 6th. There are 14 teams that haven't started as well as us. Jesus Christ, what will your reaction be when we actually lose a game? Surely you can see that 'we are currently stuck in an abyss' is absurd? Get some perspective, it could be alot bloody worse - my family are Sheffield Wednesday fans! OK John, prehaps you could give the reasons I am missing to be cheerful. Where are we going as a club, what are the players striving for? I'm not saying we should be cheering from the rooftops, but it's far too early to be quite so downbeat. It's very early days and this level of criticism isn't merited, being 6th in the league and undefeated.
  7. I understand where you are coming from but to be honest right now I would rather Randy held his hands up and admitted they got it wrong hiring AM and sent him packing along with Faulkner. Then he needs to hire someone who actually understands football business to replace PF and hire a manager with the ability and foresight to build something longterm inter grating the young players and has an eye for a bargain in the transfer market. How do you know Mcleish won't do that for us? He's been in the job for 5 league games - how can you criticise a longterm vision after 2 months?!

  9. Well do something about it as opposed to moaning in here and make the main forum a better place for all. Not aimed at just you either, the attitude of a few in this thread stinks. You should be able to rise above the dross and debate sensibly. Unfortunately trying to sensibly argue and debate just ends up recycling the guff that got this thread created in the first place! Can but try though ey
  10. Whats silly is your overwhelming denial. If we let the man get on with his job, then he will most likely take us down. They let him get on with his job at Small Heath. And he relegated them twice. You don't see it as at all silly that people are looking for a manager who hasn't lost one of his FIVE league games in charge, to be sacked? It is silly, it's ridiculous. We're 6th in the league FFS!! Most of us conceded that we'd at least give him a chance now that he's here......this isn't giving him a bloody chance is it?!
  11. Despite the latest performance, and QPR's recent win, this is still a fixture we should be looking to get points from, absolutely.
  12. If we performed like this again, i'd be happy with a draw. But in any other circumstances, I don't think I could ever be happy with a draw at QPR!
  13. I don't know why but the thought of 20,000 people singing that, I find bloody hilarious!
  14. The rot is setting into Bent and N'Zogbia's brains...The more games that continue in defensive mode, the more the rot escualtes...It turns great attacking players into cabbages. That is down to the manager! Your a strange chap aint ya? So how about Chelsea's current and past manager, they set the rot in Torres's head to miss a sitter? Torres wasnt performing at Liverpool before the move to Chelsea..N'Zogbia has come to Villa on the back of good form. The rot has set in to our attacking players because McLeish plays negative tactics..The longer you go on without being effective and without scoring, the worse you get...Its the same with Dunne last season, his form was down to mentality, not that he became a bad player overnight. And the tactics McLeish plays gets Defenders playing full of confidence and attacking players start to lose confidence.. Good attacking football breeds confidence into attacking players..We dont play good attacking football..We play good defensive football, hence breeds good defensive play. Yes the manager is responsible for this..He decides on the tactical play.. So how do you explain Gabby's huge upturn in form???
  15. I don't suppose facts play too big a part in your constellation but, just so you know, McLeish didn't "release" Reo-Coker. He was out of the club by the time McLeish arrived (Reo-Coker left club on 27 May, McLeish appointed 17 June - check the AVFC web site). Also, I am sure you will spot the little flaw in your statement, "Houllier may have kept...Cuellar". Um, so did McLeish! Now that you've been reduced to making stuff up in your increasingly desperate attempts to keep the flame of memory alive for Houllier, it is surely time to give up. I was just giving examples..Maybe had Houllier stayed in the job Reo would have signed a new deal instead..Maybe Downing would have stayed...Maybe it would be Dunne and Gabby etc off the wage bill instead.. .....which would've been a bit of a downer as they've been our 2 best players so far this season. Apart from the Mcleish signed Shay Given, maybe.
  16. Sorry, I'm going to return to a toilet based point. At work, sitting on the toilet, and saw that someone had wiped a bogey on the wall. WHY?! There's toilet roll right next to you FFS. Would a grown man really do that at home?!
  17. If he keeps playing as well as he is, then that's fine by me.....being a defender under Houllier must've been bloody awful. If Darren Bent were to come out and say that he's unhappy and demotivated under Mcleish, he wouldn't get half of this criticism. In fact all of the criticism would be levelled at Mcleish's door.
  18. Naa, these comments are quite positive and complimentary!
  19. So I think I'm ready to start a series again......the last time I did this was with the Sopranos which took over my life, so I haven't started anything like that again for years. What do you think I should go for - Dexter and The Wire have been recommended.....
