  1. Defiantly needs to go out on loan to somewhere where he will start all the time
  2. I'm going 2-2, Bent, Holman - and 2 former players Collins and Cole to score against us
  3. Gabby has hardly played up front in those two seasons either. Houllier played him in a bizarre defensive winger position and even McCleish reverted him to that position after a promising start to the season up front. Confidence shot? Maybe but I'd wager he'd soon get it back if played up front Disagree about what you say about houllier playing gabby defensive....from recollection Hou said gabby had bulked up too much and that he should lose weight to regain his explosive pace.....gabby disagreed, yet when Hou left he lost weight and started the season brighter....
  4. Come home on Friday and see people talking about bent to stoke???????? Christ I'm more drunk than I thought....
  5. Anyone know of any pubs in Halesowen/Stourbridge showing the game...know The Cross used to, but went there one time last season and it wasn't one
  6. Were we outplayed or unlucky not to get o watching from he game?
  7. Don't know about the person but his resume of BM is impressive and hopefully is an excellent step forward
  8. All these people saying sign guidetti, how many have actually seem him play?
  9. Was that the last one we've had?
  10. Was just wondering who was the last player to have one? I seem to remember there were talks of Barry getting one, but I seem to think this was cancelled? Also who is next in line? Petrov, gabby?
  11. Anything good said at the forum?.. Maybe worth a new thread?
  12. Not all the time, he was good up to the cup final, but then his formed dropped loads and since then has got worse and worse (not that I'm disagreeing about haing some talent somewhere)
  13. Mm confirmed yesterday that the blues link has now been extinguished
  14. So Paul Faulkner says to QSF representatives that he can have between £8m and £10m plus 1/2 player sales? Between £8m and £10m? Not £8m or £10m but somewhere in between. Brilliant. You would think that the CEO of a big football club would be able to give more definitive figures than this. No wonder he didn't want to come to the club. quote] I'm not really sure of your discussion here...why would the ceo give an exact amount? Transfers don't just involve the fee, they include stuff like signing on fees, agent fees, wages etc. As such I think it would be pretty impossible to be exact. So for expamle (all hypothetical opbviiously), if a transfer budget was set at £8m and the fee had been agreed at £7.5m, but the players agent wanted a cut of 7.5%, plus the player wanted a signing on fee of 4%, thus putting the deal over the £8m would the deal be pulled? Unlikely, therefore by giving a transfer bracket ie budget of £8m-10m, in my eyes is fairly reasonable.
  15. It's bad but why did he get carded?
  16. What you heard ? You might know more than me on transfers A buddy of mine said we are 'snooping' around a player from Ajax and one from Man City, and then earlier he said a bid had been made for 'someone', which was brilliant info. I asked about Gudetti and wasnt given straight answer other than Lambert isn't adverse going with what he has forward wise at the moment ! I honestly don't know anymore than what I have alluded to previously . At the moment the prices are high and its like the touts getting near to kick off time think there are a lot waiting for them to drop . You can argue its dangerous game but a lot in the same boat as us . Cool, fair enough. I personally think we may well be done for the summer and Lambert may be prepared to go with what we have. I think we will be fine if we did that, I believe we can get between 10th-12th easily. What's your thoughts on the current squad? Do you think we Lambert is looking to add or, not so much? I think mid table at best they think it will take another 2 windows to get us into a Europa position challenge . MM you previously alluded to us raiding SHA for someone, is this still the case?
  17. I'm off to the game tonight...bit gutted in the teams that are playing (obviously didnt know who it would be when tickets purchased months ago), but hey fair play to them for getting there. Hope it's a good game
  18. Who's fault is that ? If you have a crap team, you'll lose money on and off the pitch. That's down to Randy and his business decisions thus far. Not that you'll ever make money anyway. When you buy a club like ours you know that from the off. If you have no dream to make it glorious again (which takes a LOT of money) why stick around and watch it flounder ? Who said anything about fault? You said he hadn't spent the money, which he clearly has...it's also not that eay to sell to a multi billionaire who would put in any more money than Lerner does.
  19. Anywhere in brum showing it?
  20. But it is there, sitting in Randy's bank account. As it was last summer too People don't half make excuses for Randy, he's sold off all our best players and not spent the incoming on replacing them with equal talent This summer I honestly believed the club had 'saw the light' and realised you can't do that and not go backwards at an alarming rate. Yet here we are still waiting to see some action in the transfer market We've spent about 4m net at the moment and the squads as thin on genuine quality as ever We reported a loss of what's£54m last yr? We had an astronomical wage bill, plus we have had to pay off numerous managers...so realistically the money may not be there
  21. See Michael Kightly has gone to Stoke, good player there if he can stay fit. Went pretty cheaply after he handed in a transfer request, which too be honest I'm surprised about, Wolves offered him new contracts throughout all his injuries and then he goes and leaves 6 months after regaining fitness..
  22. 99.9% of them can't read or write so using a computer would be beyond their means
  23. Surely when they forked out the 7m on him though they were expecting roughly the return he's given them - 10-12 Prem goals a season? No they were hoping for them. No he has delivered and they aren't eager to sell surely anyone would realise the price will have gone up not down. Just can't see that it should have nearly doubled when all he's done is come up with the kind of return which I would have thought a 7m striker should return, 1 in 3. His half decent return which would normally push the value up slightly is cancelled out by the fact Wolves are no longer a Premier League Club so have to sell their best assets. Wolves are run financially well and therefore they do not need to sell
