I read and article about Piatek before he signed for Milan by the best football journo in Sweden Erik Niva. He wrote about his time in Poland and how he made extreme improvements after working with a new coach that came in and focused on specific details. In a matter of months he wen't from a squad player in the club and the Polish U21 to captain of Cracovia, the best player in the Polish league and then Genoa and Milan. Sadly it's behind a paywall now but it was a good read and I don't think Piatek is just a purple patch player. Obviously he won't score for fun like he did in his first couple of months at Genoa, not even Messi has that scoring rate.

Give Endzeit as miss. It's a no budget after the zombie outbreak flick that follows a very small number of people doing very little. It's been done a 1000 times before and this offers nothing new. It looks like a school project and I guess it is. Whoever put this on their movies of the year list must be related to those who made it. 3/10 edit: Turns out it was made by a Swedish director living in Berlin

Is he a legitimate option? Just signed a new contract, on comically high wages. Playing terribly and not scoring any goals.

On the pitch now Edit: Solid but unspectacular cameo. Easy to see he still has quality and Milan looked a bit better when he came on. His hold up play is better than pretty much anyone's and you can see how much respect the opponents have for his as they step off when he gets the ball. He was less selfish than you might expect and mostly tried to get his teammates into scoring positions in situations you'd usually expect him to try and take a shot. Almost scored when he got his head on a deflected cross but didn't have time to get any power or direction on it. Will still be a few weeks away from form but it was sorta promising.

working my way through a list of recent horror flicks I've yet to see. Started off with Bliss, a film I really didn't have any great expectations about. And turns out I was right. Not really a horror movie to begin with although it has some gore and a bit of nudity. It's mostly a drug infused psychosis where we follow a young painter in L.A while she's trying to get a painting done. It looks kinda good-ish but is overall pretty standard fare. Has around 5.5 on IMBD and Metascore and that's about right. Up next is Endzeit Hagazussa Tigers are not afraid Ready or not Not necessarily in that order.
