Up there with Hause's debut from last season.

Just like our other 10 players he got to watch a stupendously talented team from an extremely close distance while also getting some exerciser. Hopefully they all learned something.

We sorely missed Heaton and McGinn. Drinkwater gifted them 1 and was a spectator for another 3 in the first half. Nyland had wrists like wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man. To get anything from a game against City you need to be incredibly lucky even if you do everything right. This current version of Villa was never going to get anything today. But going forward we need to address the blatant weaknesses in the squad, asap.

Understandably suffering from a confidence crisis. He is fumbling in the dark currently. Would not say he's out of his dept but he is still learning and very inexperienced compared to most other managers in the league. And it shows. The main issue thou is that the squad is simply not good enough. Money and opportunity has been wasted.

This game is a few weeks too early for Drinkwater, or more likely 2 years too late. Congratz to Aguero who is not the foreigner with the most goals in the PL with 176. Nothing like Villa to help players reach milestones, break slumps or score their first goals.

So 2 wide players, 2 attackers, a CM and a LB needed by the looks of it. Hopefully we still have right to withdraw on Drinkwater. We can't really afford to keep him for the lol's
