Kinda, but this season they've sold players for £70m and not bought anyone other than Alaba on a free transfer. Last season they didn't buy anyone either but sold players for about £90m. They've been saving money and cutting their wage bill for a while now with the aim of getting M'bappé in.

Arguably the best transfer window by any club ever. Obviously it helps when you have unlimited funds and a president who is part of the UEFA executive committee. 4 of them "free" transfers.
