Our side back then was about right for it's position, right now? we should be a match for anyone outside the top 6. Come the end of the season, we had 50 points. If McLeish is able to get 22 points from our last 14 games, it'll be nothing short of a miracle. Despite having players that should be comfortably finishing in the top half.

No. Bent is a great goalscorer which makes him a huge asset but from what I've seen from Welbeck (coming from someone who did not rate him 12 months ago, probably through actually not watching him) I think he looks really good. I think Bent is more likely for a goal but I like Welbecks all round game and he does chip in with his fair share, 9 in 23 this season, I imagine a fair few of those from the bench as well. He's above Hernandez in the United pecking order currently which I think says plenty about him as a player. I am not saying either player is on a different level to one another, both have their qualities, I just think if I was picking the England team, I'd edge Welbeck alongside Rooney (a good understanding as well being club mates) Bent is a fantastic goalscorer but his ability as a footballer is so poor (can't go past players, hold up play is decent at best, average first touch, whenever he recieves the ball, he is never on the half turn and driving forward, he is always recieving the ball back to goal, playing it backwards.) I just think you need more maybe at the top end of the international game. I think I would play Parker Gerrard Sturridge Rooney Young Welbeck with Barry, Lampard, Johnson, Chamberlain, Walcott, Bent as options from the bench.

Unfortunately, at around 11pm, the game just gave me a crash dump, I didn't even save it so those hours were completely wasted. I'm not sure my computer can handle so much as well as net. I suggest if we VT are to have a network game then someone else should host in the future and it be limited to maximum of 4 people. I'm willing to sit out to let others play, happily join if others drop out but the game just isn't going to work with 6 people, we were all agreeing it took too long to wait for others or game was too slow etc... so let everyone else decide what to do. Still think network game should be done for sure and would work but just think handled it badly!

It's the one on hamachi, i'm online there so just right click my username and open a chatbox if you need instructions as it's easier on chat than here.

Damn, we need some sort of multi chat thingy, I Believe once on FM, we can use chat feature which everyone can use/see. Hope so anyway, just hope the speed is okay.

I've created a new game with few less divisions, around 31,000 players in total so it's still a good size for you scouting masters.. I should be available to play from around 9pm, 9.30pm onwards. (Sorry so late) So I was thinking maybe those playing, just go onto hamachi around that time, send me a message (it pops up) and then I'll load the game up, people can join on, look at their team, targets, tactcis, etc...and then hopefully by 10pm at latest, everyone will be in the game and we can actually start moving somewhere ... What time do people want to play on until? 11pm-12pm? Also, we're going to have to limit amount of people going on, it's cruel but if there is too many then there is going to be too many times when say 4 people are available but not the other 3. Then also if everyone is on, I imagine the game speed to be very very slow. I think we may have to put a cap onto 5 absolute maximum. Then if a space comes available for whatever reason, then others are able to join? Anyway, probably won't be on here much for rest of day so may see you all around 9pm, look forward to it! ps. dodgyknees, could you please edit comment with my name and password on? firstly there is a limit to how many people can join onto a single hamachi server and secondly just private reasons lol

Okay sorry about that, sort of forgot. Shall we set designated nights or just play when can? A couple things though to suggest; training schedules/tactics/initial player shortlists ...if those can be saved from previous games if you use similar stuff to other games, load them up as obviously saves a lot of time for everyone involved. assistant does friendlies if that's okay? pre-season is a really long wait without waiting 10-15 minutes for someone to complete a friendly. game speed, 3/4+ In terms of not being able to play, should probably say, if we do have a designated time spot, eg. thursday 7pm-11pm ..and we have 3 out the 4, we still play ...so get a good assistant! unless people disagree and have to play with all 4 (or if anyone else is playing?) Oh and once we're all loaded up at some point over next couple days I imagine, then as soon as possible, let me know how game speed etc...all is, as someone else may be better placed to host a session with quicker speed. In terms of times to play, I can do most nights apart from a Wednesday and monday before 9pm.

You're right, they only win things because they dive. The only way they'd actually win things fairly as if they have a big man up top for sure. In fact, I'll eat my hat if Barca win anything ever again without a big man up top. :oops:
