  1. I'm actually more excited to see Sanson fit and firing than anyone in the squad other than Beundia, I think he really has the potential to get us ticking along through the middle and keep our shape a bit better than we have at times. I know it's a cliche but he is basically like a new signing
  2. I love Darby, has the potential to be an absolute icon but some of the bumps he takes are genuinely hard to watch when you aren't used to the less sports entertainment side of the sport like I'm not at this point. Educating myself about the wrestling world away from WWE is showing me how poor custodians of the mainstream they have been for such a long time.
  3. Totally agree, there is always a sense that some people just want a shiny new toy rather than having any actual idea to how certain players would compare to what he have at the club already.

    Louie Barry

This is a good move I think. Proper club at a level he can get game time and really develop under a good coach. Could be the making of Louie. Once he can do it physically he could be anything.
  5. I thought I'd come to terms with this but now it's gone through it hits a bit different. Wasn't really prepared to lose Jack AND my job on the same day so it's probably more the latter but I'm a lot more spitefully hacked off at him than I thought I'd be honestly. I hope in a few years time when his shins go he's sat on thier bench wondering what if.
  6. This is the one we need to make happen I think. No idea if it will but in the wake of the inevitable that has now happened I think we are as enticing a prospect for any player without European football already in the bag as exists. Chance to come in, make a shed load of a money in a strengthening ambitious side where you have the opportunity to stamp yourself as the main man who just signed one of your mates...I'd go for it.
  7. About to call it a day in Australia, hopefully I wake up to this in other football and after last night's surprise maybe JWP in the morning...a gal can dream
  8. Borderline offensive doesn't really cover it does it. These are guys who kick about a ball. (I know it's big big business but at the end of the day it's still mindboggling how it's gotten here)
  9. If it was going to effect him that much I doubt he'd have done it. He won't feel the regret until he sees Mings lifting a cup for us and thinks 'that could have been me' He'll be a big part of winning things at City, anyone saying he'll be warming the bench is kidding themselves but it won't be with us...if that ever mattered to him at all
  10. Just looking forward to this being confirmed now so the circus can end and the players invested in the project can move forward without the distraction. So long Jack, I won't hold ill will but you're just another city player now...could have been so much more.
  11. Wasn't expecting to wake up to that! Brilliant signing
  12. Might be wearing adult sized shin pads around Tyrone this session.
  13. Bit crushed honestly. I feel stupid for buying in and believing he was one of us. Come to terms with it over the last day or so but Christ, I wish City would just do one off to the ESL with the rest of their ilk and take their new asset with them never to be seen again.
  14. We'll be better for this in the long run. Disappointed he's not who we thought he was but onwards and upwards. I trust those in charge to invest the money wisely and make us a more dynamic and multi-faceted attacking team. No one player will ever be bigger than the club...can't help but feel one of the last bits of romance left in football died on its arse today though.
  15. Do you not think we have strengthened significantly since then to the point it's not really the same squad? We are lot less solely reliant on Jack now
  16. It did coincide with a large chunk of our squad getting COVID in fairness.
  17. In an ideal world I think £35mil gets it done and would be a fantastic bit of business. My impression is there is something in this but whether Southampton would accept what we are willing to pay I'm not so sure about
