Look I watched the game, seen the highlights about 5 times and downloaded all the content and podcasts I could find and am all aboard the "getting carried away" train. But it can't last can it?

Agreed, Didn't Emery get rid of him at PSG? I would 100% expect him to be gone in the summer one way or another. I think he will want coachable players or players that he has worked with before so he knows he can make us a disciplined unit. And he will know already out of the current squad who will need to go and I trust him 100%

Looking at it we have 4 "6 pointers" against the teams around us. I know they're the better sides but if we're winning them then they're twice as effective

Yeah I don't see him leaving any time soon. Too much to like here so far, and we have the resources to keep him. Also presumably be very expensive for any suitors

I say it with tongue in cheek, but I actually now believe anything is possible. To turn the team that got destroyed by Newcastle 4-0 into a team that just battered them for 90 mins in every department just makes me feel we can beat anyone. Also the pressure is off us and on everyone else, if we can keep our foot down - other teams will be nervously looking over their shoulders.

I'm making an assumption that Emery will want a defensive RB to act as a 3rd CB. Konsa would be perfect imo. Im not sure cash is that player and he is a saleable asset.

I think he suits an Emery system as a Watkins backup better than when Watkins was expected to be running into channels and chasing the ball down at every opportunity. Stick him in front of goal and he's seems very effective. Would love to see him progress into the full squad next year, we may have a lot of games to play

Agree with that, but if watkins gets injured? If we get into Europe and try to compete in the domestic cups - It would currently totally derail out season as Duran isn't there yet imo.

Maybe, but I think Emery will want another option to be backup for Watkins if we're going to compete next season. He's looking too raw for me

He's our no 2 striker though. Imo need another option in summer and loan him out to develop himself a bit

Luiz MOM for me but Ming's and Moreno were great. So many good performances, Bailey was effective and trying so hard in the areas he's not so good at. Tactics were spot on. The first handball was so nailed on it's a joke and would have put the game to bed much earlier on. Well done boys

We've had a whole weeks rest and preparation, they played a few days before and had a decent travel home. I just think we could have pushed them a little harder that's all.
