There's no point in the refs being there, they get told what to say. The one time Peter Walton actually queried a ref decision as being wrong, he changed his tune when asked later.

That Brighton pen was taking the pee. Can understand the referees giving pens as they have one angle to view it from, but for the VAR to see Maupay pull the player so his arm goes up and still give it is madness.
