Whilst I have my doubts, at the moment at least, about Lambert's abilities overall, when he has been able to spend decent money, in Aston Villa terms, he has done well, so if he wants to buy Gil for that sort of money I would be hopeful that Gil would be a good buy. If we ever get a new owner we should give him 100 mill in the transfer window and then sack him as soon as he's spent it : )

David Silva is the most natural I have seen in the prem but the way Grealish dribbles, drops the shoulder and shifts his body weight is so similar and its pretty much unteachable.

Well i'd say somewhere close to 75% of 18 year olds at prem clubs never play a full prem game in their career so there's not gonna be many is there by pure logic.

I hope you are wrong A guy who was at advanced stages of buying Charlton probably hasn't got the kind of grand ideas and ambitions that we as a fanbase crave. Maybe he wanted a project? Which as it happens is exactly what we are. What would have been his Charlton vision?... get in the prem and challenge for major honours? Or take over a devaued london club with potential for a decent return. Too much of a swing in ambition for me to buy the Villa and make us a champions league team.
