  1. I disagree. I want Martinez to start this away fixture as regardless of the opposition its a crucial fixture. Get a decent result and Olsen can step in for the home game.

    Unai Emery

I would think some goals are more satisfying for him if they've been scored by executing his instructions or some element that they have focused on in training. He's such a technical guy. I love it!
  3. Shocking catering in the North Stand (Trinity corner) yesterday. 30 mins to get a drink at half time. No food or snacks (unless thats normal for HT). Staff on go slow mode and seemingly zero effort to speed up service, problems with till systems. An absolute shower of... !! Thought these issues were being addressed? What have management been doing during the off season?
  4. Having now seen the replay looks like he's got a knee in the back of his leg so perhaps just a very sore bruised hamstring.
  5. Jet Ski theft, common assault, Reggae gangsta. Rockstar Games presents:
  6. Crazy how much discomfort he looked to be in. De Bruyne walked off with relative ease after another hammy the other week and he's out for months apparently. But if the docs reckon only a few weeks then so be it!
  7. I've sent my 100 x zoom photo of his leg so Villa doctors can accurately diagnose his injury. I live to serve.
  8. Saw him limping slightly by the tunnel after the game. Hopefully just a bit sore.
  9. Looks like left knee to me. Couldn't bend it at all.
  10. Look forward to seeing him play. Physically looks a tough cookie something the team is lacking in the attack dept.
  11. If the player has got his head screwed on he'll knuckle down and show what he can do in the Championship. Opportunities will follow.
  12. Kamara is only 23 and nowhere near his peak. Think about all the stick Douglas Luiz got a couple seasons back and now he's one of our most important players. Cashing in on Kamara would be madness as far as I'm concerned. Ultimately the only judgement that matters is that of Unai but I feel we haven't seen the best of him yet.
  13. Great option from the bench for me. The girls out there today deserve to start the final.
  14. Hemp was brilliant dare I say a bit Jacky boy esque. So calm and assured on the ball. Brilliant from the Lionesses! Wonder if there are any plans to show the final at or around Villa Park on Sunday?
  15. The jet ski incident sounds like a GTA side quest
  16. That was a great save from Ollie. He's a confidence player isn't he. During our hot streak last season he showed he does have a first touch and the finesse to score goals so hopefully he'll get back on track with that. 1st half of the season he would often blast the ball at the keeper instead of trying a different technique. But weve seen he is capable. What I want to see from him this season is a bit more proactive in the box and gamble on those balls across goal.
  17. Think it's just mental preparation for recovery. Get rid of the past content and look to the future and getting back to playing. Start afresh that kind of thing.
  18. I agree. Newcastle were very good and deserved the win however luck was on their side in terms of officiating. More importantly we did not take our chances. We can't afford the Ollie/Cash wastefullness (for example) if we want to do well this season. The Mings injury is somewhat mitigating as I think players were affected.
  19. Ty has deleted his Instagram content Hope he's okay
  20. Very confident for this first home game. We know Unai will not accept the manner of the Newcastle defeat and will have the players ready to bring home 3 points. With Emi and Ty in mind everyone will want to get that win for them and the fans. LFG!
  21. Meatball trying to get people not pick him so he can have all those points for himself. He knows
  22. Agree. LCL is the more unusual injury to sustain. Connects to fibula and prevents lateral movement of knee. Looks like it has snapped. Get well soon Ty miss you already!!
  23. I think Tys injury affected the team mentally more than people realise. It was a poor performance but happy to write it off. Newcastle were very good and simply more organised than us. We didn't take our chances either. We'll bounce back next week
