  1. To start every single game is incredible. You need a bit of luck with injuries but shows what a great level of match fitness he must have. If he doesn't get POTS ill personally award him the Matt Targett Award For Being Matt Targett.
  2. Yeah I bet the description of what happened is well over the top. Those quotes sound completey made up. Sanctimonious drivel.
  3. Looking forward to him being fully fit as hes quite a unit now. Could be a real handful. Hope he comes back stronger.
  4. Don't blame him for getting pissed up to be honest but getting kicked out not so good! He's obviously feeling low but hoefully he'll sort himself out next season.
  5. He was limited physically but I don't see that as an excuse not to get stuck in. Often he would be a passenger but it didnt have to be that way imo.
  6. Hourihane held back by his workrate. You need that as a minimum in the Prem.
  7. Quite often when a player messes up its also the team that contribute to it as well along with plain old misfortune. In this instance it didn't look look like he got a shout from a team mate about the spurs player steaming towards him and to just row z the ball. It was badly controlled but also a bit unlucky. He responded really well though.
  8. Yes absolutely there is a balance especially with toxic elements of our fan base you need to build the players confidence up carefully. Fortunately Spurs were struggling against us so it was perfect timing to give the debut!
  9. A half fit Jack is still better than most! That nice little showing should make it an easy decision for Southgate! What a shame he missed so many games this season!
  10. Can't be bothered to quote myself but I said last week Traore will shine with better players around him. Now that could be said of most players but with Traore's attributes its particularly so.
  11. Yep. Looked like he had been playing in the first team all season. Future star I reckon!
  12. Yes too much dithering in the box! Just smash the damn ball! lol Should have scored 5 goals really!
  13. John showed that energy and tenacity that we all love but has lacked a bit this season. He had a great game.
  14. He had a great game and worked hard just wasn't quick or sharp enough in front of goal.
  15. Is that when he violently shoulder barged him? That was a yellow but the ref was bias all game!
  16. Fantastic debut. So composed and not phased at all. Made some excellent "game management" passes too. Of course we hit the post again as per all season!
  17. Yes Hes been excellent even since.
  18. Yep and made even more irritating by fact we always roll over for them. Just once, please can we win...
  19. This is what I've always said about Jack's contract situation. If ever the time comes when he wants to move on I don't see any problems between club and player. There is love and respect there so a deal would be done amicably for the benefit of both parties. Let's hope it never comes to it but that is entirely down to the clubs ambitions and the business they intend to conduct starting right now.
  20. Wouldnt read too much into it other than frustration at teammates going all out headless chicken mode! Also he got clattered a couple of times which the ref ignored. He needs as much game time as possible so expect he might start against Spurs and come off if needed.
  21. Poor result but I think Luiz was very good today. What we need next to him next season is a strong technical player who can keep hold of the ball.
  22. My comments were regarding Keinan if you follow the thread. Sorry for the confusion! Lol
  23. Indeed. I'm constantly surprised he gets slated when has had so little game time. Give him a few months starting games then judge. Whether he would get that chance is another matter but personally think he's done well enough. Certainly no worse than some of our other regular players.
  24. He did look thoroughly depressed when he came off the pitch yesterday and I do have sympathy for whatever it is that is behind his struggles. Perhaps he had his heart set on making Villa Park his home and its slipping from his grasp. You can sense his pressure and frustration at not being able to deliver. We've seen he can be an excellent player but it's a risky business when as a club we are trying to kick on. If we can get him for a bargain price and sensible wages I see no reason why we shouldnt take that risk however we may already have potential transfer deals half way to being sorted.
