I was a bit miffed when DS got the new contract, the next few months will seriously show us where he is as a manager, the injury list is horrendous if he can sign the right bodies and keep us in the league he deserves a war kitty like never before next summer and would prove very deserving of that new contract.

As I said not defending him but goals per appearance can be deceptive. Whoscored tends to be better than transfermarkt for stats.

I think the powers that be need to look at that xmas period fixture list I'm sure it won't be just us having to field some youngsters through necessity, Sheff Utd due to make huge changes apparently. Not whinging as I love xmas football but you can see the POV of the managers!

Ah OK thought you were questioning the way a 12 month option works, yeah sure they will ask for over the odds but they won't get 30 mil for Bowen I'd like to think we would walk away if they persisted with silly valuations, at the end of the day it's a balancing act between the buying and selling clubs.

Changed my mind it's the FA cup play a strong team. Nyland definitely needs to start get some more game time under his belt be nice to have the usual defense in front of him so they get used to each other, I think Fulham will play a full strength team, will be an interesting game.

You know what the more I think about Heatons' injury the more it concerns me, he's been arguably more important and played a bigger role this season than our first choice CF! We were in for Jack Butland before looking at Heaton, chances are Heaton may never come back why not go in hard for Butland now? Stoke are having a shocker he's got 18 months left on his contract he's still a very good young keeper at a shit club.
