Why? What's the difference between looking to sign decent Championship talent against looking in the Belgium league or lower league French sides? Poorer premier league teams? Looking at the table right now aren't that many poorer than us!

Not a chance we will sign Tammy or probably any other English forward any time in the near future.

Whilst I would happily see Lansbury, Jota, and Taylor leave if we replaced them with better players, I do think they will still be around next season should we go down. If we stay up can't see any of them being in the squad next season just not good enough.

I have to disagree, yes Reina, Baston and Drinkwater will all go (I'll drive them if they want!) I don't think any of those you listed will go other than Jack, none are in a position to force a move with expiring contracts or on big big money. Some may want to go but it will be a very strange transfer window this time around. As for Taylor, Elmohamady, Lansbury and Jota could they do a job in the Championship? Probably IMO. Henri will not force a move with the wage he is currently on he'll never earn that sort of money again in his career. If we go down I think the squad will look very similar to what it does now maybe 2 or 3 non first team out with the same in. If we stay up that's the only time I could see wholesale changes. I think player power has changed with recent events, other than top top players they most won't be forcing issues for the foreseeable.

I don't think we will lose that many if we go down, Jack is most likely to go regardless but we are fairly fortunate we don't need to sell players.

I think the strategy will already be in place, list A and list B, list A for if we miraculously turn things around and stay up but most likely list B should we be relegated. List B will be a lot shorter than list A. Completely disagree on Smith needs to go if we are relegated (should probably go anyway) but that's for another thread.

Pretty much where I feel we are at, I felt before Covid hit we were to reliant on what other teams were doing and not good enough to get ourselves out of trouble. I don't see any reason that will have changed due to the lay off. Have hated this season we've been so poor for the majority of it!

I don't think DS can do this and has reached his level he's a Steve Bruce but with nicer football. No great shakes is what it is. No chance I admit I wasn't against his loan signing I thought he might turn things around in midfield but no he's a spent force and all round bad egg, he will see out his career at a Championship club I reckon someone like Derby will come in for him on a 2 year deal and probably end up regretting it.
