Yes our coaching staff seem to have the opposite of the golden touch. Mings is a classic example. He started the season as a potential England regular. He is now a error strewn clodhopper. You couldn't make it up...... ATB VLD.

Smith won't resign, why would he kiss several million pounds goodbye? He won't be sacked either. The board gave him a contract extension after the team won one game. Absolute rubbish, why on earth do you think that Lamberk mark 2 could bring us back up. Completely outplayed in the first half and our genius manager sends the same team out in the second half.....

Hourihane is the nearest thing we have as a clone of the 'invisible man ' when he plays. Also is unbelievably slow . ATB. VLD.

If only we had shown this sort of commitment in the league we would be sitting in the mid-table safety zone now. We still have our defensive frailties but at least Samatta looks the real deal. Davies looked useful too, pity he is so injury prone. Mainly this game showed what this team can do when we get most of the basics right. People who have said that City did not get out of first gear don't know what they are talking about. There were occasions in the second half when we had them rattled. If we take this effort into the next game I will start to believe in miracles. Not a Smith fan but I thought he did well today. ATB. VLD.

Blimey , if that is the only example of his tactical nous this season then it is no surprise that we are struggling. Surely he has more than one result all season in his locker? Plenty more examples when he has got it hopelessly wrong unfortunately . I expect him to pick the usual suspects and hope for the best..... ATB VLD.
