So we're unbeaten against Everton since our return to Praise Land with 5 wins and 2 draws. I was hoping for a draw today at least.. . all the hallmarks (the general feeling) suggest defeat.

Understood, but Martinez's desperation to not lose can't be overlooked. Surely only the manager (if true) would be worrying how this score might look. A last gasp draw would've felt like a win against the league leaders and a roar must have gone up with Martinez going up for the corner. Bloke's a hero. It didn't work out. So be it.

It's Archer senior's birthday today!

My feeling is it was right to sell Ings, and wrong to not play Archer before inevitably having to send him out on loan before we destroyed his upward trajectory further. The most exciting part of the season could have been watching this development up close instead of huffing and puffing around tenth.

There is a degree of hindsight about this but absolutely agree. We're back into the way it used to be more or less now, where we aren't going down or getting into Europe, and still our best prospects can't find a path into the first team. So frustrating.

The HT chat on the pitch or pundit near the bench throughout a match drives me crazy. It's spoken about in near delirious terms like anyone gives a shit about the proximity of these hacks to the GODS on the bench.

I wonder if this has anything to do with VT being a collection of individuals with varied opinions, as opposed to a single entity that can't make up its mind?
