This always bothered me; 'not a brilliant defender but has a brilliant cross'. This signing, (of whom I know nothing about) seems like the work of someone who knows exactly what he's doing, unlike with the signing of Digne.

We simply have too many players, like Coutinho, where there's only so long you can hope they eventually start playing consistently or even reasonably well. Mid-table teams are full of players who mostly look poor except for odd flashes of brilliance. When even the odd flashes disappear, it's time to move them on regardless of who they once were.

Made sense to play him to bounce back and rebuild confidence after Wolves, but his confidence, like his stock, must now be at an all time low. Dreadful performance.
