  1. I think they’re two different types of player. Fred used to like to sit deep but Jack played more of a free role, more of a number 10.
  2. No sorry I’m not having that. The Forest board must know they needed a striker ASAP so why didn’t the sign Kodja on 1st Jan? That’s just unacceptable, I’d be livid if I was a Forest fan. Who’s running that shambles???!!!
  3. He’s also their captain and was captain of Genk, so he must have a bit about him. More leaders are always welcome in the dressing room.
  4. Don’t bump into Rene and Renata on the way out. Edit: It was Joe Dolce. Another joke dashed on the rocks of inaccuracy. I’ll get my coat.
  5. The problem is Rodders it is imperative to us, but not necessarily to any of the other people involved in the making of the deal. Even down to the prospects personal situation. We want him signed now but he could have stuff going on like kids at school, wife wanting to know what the house will be like etc etc. I know we would be paying a lot of money to them but these guys aren’t exactly struggling to pay their bills now anyway. That’s the trouble with dealing with humans, they’re just so unpredictable and well...human.
  6. Thanks for the flight info mate but you need to really up your game. As already mentioned we need passenger manifests and once the flight has arrived we want pictures of the passengers arriving, (in case they’re using a pseudonym), and who is picking them up. Then track any Range Rovers, Mercs etc to see if they’re going to BMH. If you could rig up some sort of rifle mic to pick up conversations that would also be handy. You're going to have a busy couple of weeks and you’ll probably be unemployed by the end of the month, but this is important and I think you’ll agree, well worth the sacrifice. If you’re a real Villa fan you won’t hesitate.......
  7. That’s rather colourful language.
  8. Whilst I agree we need players all over the pitch I also think finding a good striker is an absolute must. Part of the problems in midfield are that we don’t have an outlet. Midfielders can only make good passes if other players get into good positions. We’ve gone from having very little movement up front to having absolutely nobody up front at all.
  9. Seems like he’s already training with our defence.
  10. Januzaj in January? Headline writers dream sign him up! (is he any good?)
  11. The one on the right is my postman’s, brother in law’s, half brother’s, best friend. The other one is a plumber who fitted my uncle’s mate’s new bathroom. I’m not sure if either can play up front, but the plumber will want an arm and leg wages wise if the new bathroom is anything to go by.
  12. I agree, particularly on the leadership. Jack leads by example but the team tends to use him as a crutch to get through matches rather than a flag to rally round. I think being Captain helps his game, it certainly doesn’t hinder it. The only real leader in the squad, leaving aside Heaton, is of course Mings and he doesn’t need to be called captain to lead. The rest of them are kites blowing in the wind. We need players with more attitude, they don’t have to be leaders in the true sense but they have to be up for the fight and bring some of that to the others in the team. There are not many strong characters, we need one or two with bite who the others will feel the strength of and who will put a bit of fear into the opposition. Being decent footballers might be handy too.
  13. We left our comeback too late and only a minute of injury time?? We wuz robbed!!!!
  14. Interesting stat. Did he win the other two as well?
  15. I gave your post a like with my head. But in my heart I’m thinking perhaps a sneaky 3-0 home win.....?
  16. He’s achieved so much for them. I know the business is ruthless, but I think he’s earned the right or try to turn it around. They also have lots of injuries. Obviously in our current position I hope he doesn’t turn it round!
  17. There are so many factors in transfers now and the future. Speculation about Jack is inevitable but nobody can see into the future. We don’t know which division we’ll be in of course and who knows who will be the Utd manager come the summer? Pepe shows signs of getting bored, Mourinho is as ever unpredictable etc etc. We also don’t know what our own future plans are. If we stay up our owners could have grand plans that would excite us as fans which obviously includes Jack. I know there may be FFP restrictions but the club don’t seem too bothered about it. Perhaps having one of the architects of it as our CEO means we have some sort of angle of dealing with it. Let’s face it Man City, Chelsea, PSG etc have been taking the Mick for years. We have got proper rich and astute businessmen in charge now, not a chancer or a bloke who just had Daddy’s money.
  18. He’s true world class, he’s get until halftime! Then again he could have a hattrick by then.
