  1. Need a reaction from the players at Reading... was a disgraceful performance on Saturday but its all about how we react and if the current staff can pick up the team and get them firing for the next game. If we don't see that, Bruce should be gone within the fortnight
  2. on a positive... we did manage to keep it to only 3
  3. I agree with the above... I think we will see a new striker come in before the end of the window... but I wonder who
  4. can easily say we have better options in the team now, so time to move on
  5. if we had two of any player, it wouldn't be Lansbury
  6. all the same, im sure we could do a similar thing if we really wanted to right? Im not fully buying this FFP thingy
  7. as opposed to their only goal which came from brilliant build up play?
  8. with shotton on the way to boro, does that pave the way for Elphick? if so, definitely need to replace with Baker gone (and good on him for scoring the other night) preferably someone to be 3rd choice
  9. will be a relatively strong team in tonight... I think it will be: Johnstone Hutton Samba Chester Taylor (amavi if hes not being sold) Elmo Whelan Onomah Green Bjarnason Hogan
  10. For me, he was pretty much to blame for the goal (along with hutton's poor clearance) Whelan was caught out of position... he pressed Hulls defensive line when the ball wasn't ever going to be won and left a massive hole behind him. Bacuna being too thick to cover him allowed Campbell to pretty much carry the ball unopposed all the way to our box... Like others have been saying, hopefully his performances improve by having someone competent next to him
  11. maybe replacement is a little harsh... meant similar characteristics in terms of sitting deeper but much better on the ball, passing etc. Not sure id like to see a midfield trio of jedi, Whelan and Onomah although wouldn't surprise me if its Bruce's preference Hopefully to Steve's point, he is more attacking then what ive seen (again limited viewing)
  12. from my limited viewing and knowledge, cant see how Onomah is a replacement for Grealish... looks more of a replacement for Jedi if anything and will prob sit next to Whelan in the middle with a Grealish type in front of them, on Saturday it was Lansbury
  13. the Doc has confirmed the Hernandez link as rubbish
  14. are people preferring Steer to Johnstone?
  15. your second point is why I didn't mind the link to Crouch... I thought he'd be a great option off the bench when we needed to change things late in the game to push for a goal
  16. completely useless fact but if you table up the point in time Bruce took over last year till the end of the season, we finished 10th 7 points away from playoffs. The numbers before the team name is the table position after round 11 3. Newcastle United - 22 (GD +12) 72 4. Brighton and Hove Albion - 21 (GD +7) 72 8. Reading - 18 (GD -3) 67 14. Fulham - 14 (GD -3) 66 9. Sheffield Wednesday - 17 (GD -1) 64 11. Leeds United - 16 (GD -1) 59 20. Derby County - 10 (GD -4) 57 1. Huddersfield Town - 25 points (Goal Difference +6) 56 23. Cardiff City - 8 (GD -11) 54 19. Aston Villa - 10 (GD -2) 52 17. Preston North End - 13 (GD -2) 49 2. Norwich City - 23 (GD +6) 47 7. Brentford - 18 (GD +9) 46 12. Wolverhampton Wanderers - 15 (GD +1) 43 22. Blackburn Rovers - 8 (GD -8) 43 10. Barnsley - 16 (GD +5) 42 16. Ipswich Town - 13 (GD -1) 42 15. Burton Albion - 13 (GD 0) 39 18.
