when does his loan end? could he be available for selection for the play offs for us??
  2. watched the Fulham game vs QPR and despite the fact they gave up a 2 goal lead, they played some fantastic football that I don't think we can match over two legs but may be able to pip them in a one off match if we get there
  3. just to think that we created our best 2 opportunities (snoddy's pass to adomah when one on one and adomah's shot when put through by grealish) without a striker...
  4. loved doing the whole taking a league 2 team thing and finding hidden gems along the way and selling them for a handsome profit... but you've hit the nail as its ridiculously difficult to sell players and if so its not much more than their value.
  5. wonder how sales for FM 18 went in comparison to previous versions? surely its on the downward spiral
  6. to put the argument to bed, both full backs we equally to blame for the goal... hutton got caught to close to his man and Axel got caught out ball watching
  7. so is he playing on Saturday or not? don't really care what the perception is, we need him in the XI
  8. i think the goals will come, that's the next level of his maturity seems to always be in shooting range when he positioned centre towards left of goal and you can almost guarantee he will attempt to bend it in the far right post... rarely has ever come off for him and Id rather see him put his foot through it low and hard instead
  9. playing hypotheticals here and looking for some guidance to those closer to club and player... If (and at this point its a really big if) we don't go up this year, does Jack stay or go?? he is clearly a premier league player, no doubt about it, and without a shadow of a doubt there will be mid table premier league teams in for him for big coin... so just wonder if he would go or loyalty to his club make him stay I personally think he stays
  10. So many great moments in that match and just wanted to point out one that most probably overlooked but was pumped when I saw Snoddy jump straight into Davis when he pulled down Jack in the second half... Pretty much ripped into him and let him know that we're in it together... Showed character, leadership and togetherness sticking up for his younger teammate, loved it! Sign him up
  11. not match fit to play 15 - 20 mins off the bench??
  12. great last point, im actually surprised there hasn't been more plaudits on that goal on here. You'd be very hard pressed to see a better team goal than that all year!
  13. Very harsh to blame their second on Hutton solely. The gap between Chester and Terry was way too big, Chester was out of position which made for an easy over the top... Secondly, Terry stood still leaving his opponent behind him, to his defence, maybe he was playing for an offside but that's probably being too generous
  14. any chance for player of the month with his 4 goals?
  15. will this be Bruce's first manager of the month with us??
  16. someone committed to the Villa cause would not take 2 weeks off during an exciting promotion battle... says it all really
  17. perhaps give Adomah a rest and start Green for this one, might give him the kick start again and continue that vein of form from earlier in the year bench of Bunn, Taylor, Axel, Jedi, Lansbury, Adomah and Grabban please
  18. yep, definitely agree with you, he's been great for us! I think the point I was trying to make was that I don't agree with what others have been saying that his performance kept us in the game which alludes to dominance by United which I feel is unfair to the team and their effort anyways on to Saturday with another clean sheet and 3 points!
  19. great result and keeps the momentum going, cant remember the last time we scored a 90th minute winner! Voted Bruce poor i know its harsh but its purely because I thought it was a very strange bench with 4 of the 6 outfield players being defensive type players in Taylor, Whelan, Jedi and Tuanzebe + a keeper . Add in onomah who doesn't really give us much going forward either, very surprised Green wasn't on bench. But credit where it is due, we fought hard, defended well and put a shift in and got the 3 points! I thought Johnstone's pulled off some decent saves, but that's what he's been paid to do. I didn't think any of the saves were top class as others have stated, but still a solid game! My motm goes to Birkir who continues to impress in the DM position and was glad that Bruce started him with other options now available. Bring on Saturday!
  20. best think about Thor's game in DM is his positioning... he doesn't sit too deep like Whelan and seems to intercept passes often.. Id keep starting him until he gives us a reason to bench him
  21. the sky commentator was much of the same... commented on how Villa weren't able to beat the stronger teams and got their wins over the 'lesser likes' coming off wins against Bristol and Boro I thought that was a bit rich
  22. to be fair to him, by the stage he came on we were sitting deep closing the game out so there was no point closing their centre halves and leaving a gap behind him Different if we were chasing the game
  23. can add a whole host of names as Villa have done well to end many a career
  24. Blame Luc Nilis for starting that curse!
