It would be really really nice if he played a game in January, plays his socks off, scores a goal or two, is heavily involved, and is a constant nuisance to the opposition, making a statement " That's why I didn't go to Reading. I have unfinished business here. I know I have upset people here, but I want to make amends the only way I know how, by playing the best football I can".
But this is just a wonderful dream. He is 30 now. He did very little when he should have been in his prime. It is very hard to come back from that, no matter how much fitness work he does.
