  1. Had a very bad game tonight, but is usually good for us. However, at this stage of the season, we need to see improvement, not regression. Over to you RDM. Ffs, manage.
  2. His tactics are giving me Sherwood flashbacks.

    Mile Jedinak

I like Jedinak, but I cant defend his performance today. That was awful.
  4. Peer pressure. Don't underestimate its power. Especially in Jack's position. At that age, generally people are concerned about what other people think of them. Because he is a famous face, if he says no, then they will trot out the old chestnut that he is too good to be seen with them and that fame has gone to his head. Say yes however, no matter his innocence, he is in no control of the yobs around him. Unless something comes out that he has actually done something wrong, I believe he deserves the full benefit of the doubt.
  5. So Jack had a drink. I really don't care. Its legal. he hasn't broken any laws, and he should be right for Saturday. What does grind my gears however, is how the media and some have blown it out of proportion, he may as well shagged some royal corgis, wiped his bum with them, then impaled them on the Windsor Castle gates. But, he didn't do that. He had a drink.
  6. Its a shame that nobody cares who he is or what he thinks, otherwise he would inspire the lads to come out and smash Newcastle off the park on Saturday.

    Liverpool

Fans from other clubs not liking Liverpool? Uh oh. They will break out the black armbands for that. Really, why don't they just bite the bullet and make the armbands part of their kit?

    FIFA17

Just saw the player ratings, and they must have sorted out Villa's on opposite day. Richards our best player?!
  9. I think it is a bit exaggerated to say that Westwood is the worst player at the club. Yes, his defence is horrible and at best non existent, but I do remember him having a few good games for us last season. I stress that, a few, meaning no more than two or three. As for worst player at the club, Richards, Gardner, and Kozak are stronger contenders to fill that role. I agree that he should not be starting games, but should be kept maybe 4th choice? After January of course.
  10. Mine neither. Tim Taylor's Landlord is a good drop though.
  11. I must live a sheltered life. I have never met a Nocastle fan in Australia. Never.
  12. So, like trying to pick up in a nunnery, while under the influence of a developing crack habit?
  13. I usually play career mode on FIFA. This looks great! What the hell have I been missing out on?
  14. What motivates a manager? I don't believe its money, because if they were savvy enough during their playing days, they should not have to do a days work ever again. To become a manager, its another bite at the cherry for glory, to extend their career within football after their body says no more. Considering their dispensability and becoming a pariah if things are not going well, or totally forgotten about if the team is doing well, I believe the primal motivation is reputation. RDM came to Villa with a reasonably sound reputation. If Villa keep on not living up to expectations, his stock lowers and his reputation takes a hit. However, if he does a Fergie, finds the right switches and turns Villa around, then generally everyone will ignore him and focus back on the players, but at least he knows his reputation is protected. I hope he does turn it around soon. Maybe he is timing it. Against Forest, it was very much attack. We saw a totally different game against Ipswich. It was very boring, but at least we didn't concede in the last 5 minutes, so you could say it was an exercise in defence. Hopefully for the Newcastle game, they can put the two together. I hope he is able to turn it around very soon. If he manages to do what it takes and makes everybody happy, I will be happy for him that he can sleep better at night, with a contented smile that a manager with a good reputation has before going ny nyes.

    Highlights

    The weather seemed nice.
  16. That was like watching a game from last season.
  17. Small consolation, at least Richards isn't captain.
  18. It really socks. we cant seem to find our feet after I thought we were a shoe in for promotion.
  19. Thinking of positives, at least he has learnt never to let Richards back on the pitch.

    Stan Petrov

English newspapers are so shit. But then again, so are ours.
  21. There is no doubt that Villa is chock full of talent, and can beat any team in the championship anywhere. However, it must be made known to teams coming to Villa Park that this is their turf, and show them that they are not welcome to any points at all there, that when you come to Villa Park, you are in for a nightmare. You will be tested, probed, pushed then crushed for 90 minutes. You will fear Villa Park. When you shake the Villa players hands prior to the match, you will see it in their eyes, that they are determined and will never let you off easy. For 90 minutes, they forget about their new cars, their families, and whatever anyone thinks of them, and stop being lovely guys, because all they want or care about is defeating you in a game of football, and they wont accept anything less. Over to you, RDM.
  22. He tried, but he ran out of characters when he tried to write F*** 100 times in capital letters. He was only able to get up to the 37th one, but decided not to send it in case the meaning of it all was lost.
