  1. No. But I might know a girl who could help you out, if you are up for a physical tryst.
  2. If it was less than 20 bricks, it wasnt a real dinosaur anyway.
  3. Having an owner like Cellino is like Hannibal Lecter running a butcher shop. The man is batshit crazy.
  4. My top 5 for 2016 1. Stranger Things 2. Game of Thrones 3. Black Mirror 4. Vikings 5. Ash VS Evil Dead
  5. I am gutted about Carrie Fisher. I grew up with her as a kid, and she always was and always will be Princess Leia. I also laughed at her in Jay and Silent Bob as " some hairy bushed nun". What sucks even more aboiut this year, is alot of these people dying so young, not even getting close to an average life span. Elton John was right. Only the good die young.

Couldnt wake him up. It was his time to go go.
  8. So Liverpool or whoever puts up the 20, 25 mill or whatever, so who do we convince to come in to a Championship club to replace him? We will more than likely have to settle for someone of lesser value, which is basically the same crap that has been going on since Milner. We have to stop this selling mentality crap, because it is a large reason why we are in the shit in the first place. No sale.
  9. Merry Christmas, everyone! We all want the same thing, we want Villa to grow, to claim as much glory as it can, and may it be so. Away from the TV screens, away from the forums, in our parts of our lives that dont revolve around Villa, I am wishing you all the best in health and happiness, and that the coming days are bountiful in future memories with your beloved ones. Bless you all, and Up The Villa!
  10. If you could pick a moment when it went tits up for Tim, it was the Leicester game. Winning well against the eventual PL champions, then gloriously snatching defeat from the jaws of victory by means of wacky subs and tactics. After that game, the team needed a strong leader to get their heads right for the rest of the season. We never had one, not as a manager, and not on the pitch, and as result, we showed the world how to be a shitty football team and the rest is history. We never had a chance. Above, we had a destructively negligent owner who appoints staff with the condition that being a charlatan is a pre requisite. Below, we had players playing poorly, not working as a team, no leadership, and behaving like little bitches off the pitch. To complete this unholy trinity of shit, we had a manager who was clueless and incapable of standing up as a leader, or moulding and motivating a team. Tim Sherwood may have been just an ingredient in the perfect shitstorm, but he was prominent.
  11. Yes, which is part of my point. He was doing fantastic until it was confirmed we were safe, then we seemed to nosedive into a pile of shit. I am not subscribing to the opinion of deliberate sabotage, it was just one of those things that made me go " hmm".
  12. Mate, I think your speculation, or opinion, might be a little over the top. Sherwood sucked, most definitely. But for the reason for our demise, if a census was taken, most people would say that the blame would land at Lerner's feet.
  13. He is one known to claim credit for alot of things, but in this case he had alot of help. To keep it in perspective, Randy was fiddling while Villa burnt. Tim was selling hot dogs.
  14. I remember the last 3 games of the 14/15 season, once it was confirmed we had dodged relegation. Loss to Southampton 6 -1, 1 nil loss to already relegated Burnley at Villa Park, then the 4 nil implosion in the FA cup final. I actually thought are we really serious about keeping this guy?
  15. The course for relegation was the only time we saw a team effort.

    Rudy Gestede

If Rudy goes to Brom, does he make like a tree and leaves?

Are you fully briefed on your mission, Agent Rudy?
  18. Yes, good post , Cas, however you may be foretelling a bit with what you say what Bruce might do if he gets us promoted. You are correct with what you drew upon from what Bruce has done in the past, but the difference maker which I think might be is that Bruce should receive a decent budget from Tony, as opposed to what he has gotten from other teams he has gotten promoted in the past. Mo money, mo options, so to speak. I wasnt 100% sold on Bruce, but what did appeal him to me, was the hope that we would go back to basics football, which I believed was something we were missing, and something which we dearly needed. I believe he is achieving that. Last season, under two and a half managers ( Eric Black wasnt really a coach. He was more of a mini bus), other than a pinch of games, no team on the planet played like the way we did. Before anyone jumps on me, that is not a compliment. We played in a way with our slow build up backwards sideways predictable down the wing cross the ball in hope that the striker is awake in the box and can somehow get the ball past the alert and ready 3 or 4 defenders and GK and maybe get a goal style of play, that was in no way a design for a win. SB, for the most part, has called BS and changed that. As for what happens in the future with Bruce, I prefer to wait and see. There are alot of crazy x factors in football, and its a chaos theorem enthusiast's wet dream.
  19. Totally fair enough. Sometimes the lines do seem to get blurred, whether it is discussing Gabby or other players, that the vitriol towards them seems to imply that, even though the H word wasnt used. Sometimes the emotion used when discussing players seems to be personal, and that is when I think its heading into flaming torches and pitch forks territory, which is a bit sad when discussing one of our own. How they are as a player and what they do in a game though, well that is open slather.

I will go Ivory Coast, based on absoluely nothing!
  21. Bollocks about Delph. You are forgetting what he said at the time he signed a new contract. As for Gabby, all players still get paid whether they are selected or not. What he or any other player is not playing does, I couldnt care less, as long as they are not hurting anybody. He went overseas to a party and smoked a shisha pipe. Whoopie freaking doo.
  22. Gabby, at best these days, is an average player. However, of the things he is accused of, there is somebody worse. For laziness, there is Micah and Veretout. For disrespecting the club, its Delph, and daylight between second ( Lescott). For being disappointing, there is a bunch of players to choose from, but none of them, or the others I have mentioned are a poster boy pariah like Gabby is. Except maybe Westwood.
