Ratings & Reactions: FAC3: Villa v Stevenage
VillanousOne replied to limpid's topic in FAC3: Stevenage h
hate to say this, but every time we have made that many changes in a cup game during my life time, no matter who the personnel, no matter who we are playing, it always goes wrong- 607 replies

The information in question is our squad is average at best and their is a chronic lack of creativity and movement in the final third. Most of the team put out today need to be let go

Needs to be dropped his confidence is shot to pieces

if that doesn't demonstrate to Emery the fact our squad is utterly mediocre and needs re-enforcements, i don't know what will- 607 replies

Also he hardly played under Emery so going from bench warming to another bench wouldn't make much sense

will we conquer this transfer?

Liam Ridgewell - no one compares

he makes the most random subs and they seem to pay off, can't remember seeing that in decades. Dean and Slippy G were utterly hopeless and in game management. One plan one chance, no back up.

also what Luiz might do to her now he's single

thought he was awesome yesterday and has been under Emery, him an Konsa get forward so much more and get into the thick of things
-
Great point in the end, how many times have we lost games like this, terrible first half, then really strange substitutions that actually worked. big Buendia fan but he was awful so was Bailey.
-
Good to know the players are still capable of playing like they are managed by Gerrard despite not being managed by Gerrard
-
ah playing a load of w*nk again, how i missed this

He is quality, but do we really want to sign anymore 29 year olds at 20-30 Million?

he easily beats a man, 2, 3 men, the issue is when he tries to beat four men and fails
-
no trademark bumming from Son or Kane, what's going on? Hope Luiz is ok
-
can't imagine the convo with Emery before he joined went 'we'll pay you lots but no money for transfers until the summer, because the squad that has already underachieved for two managers will be fine to get us in Europe'

That is the problem with young players, no matter how good they are they will always take time to integrate and fulfil their potential, there were times where Ramsey looked a bit lightweight and ineffective but the more time he was given the better he got. It is pretty sad that without him we have lost a significant amount of goal threat. which is why we need some fresh attacking options, because ours have gone really stale.

Maybe believe the player himself as the quotes are all direct from the horses mouth, put out by him in direct response to the horsespoop reported about him.

Fair enough. Your opnion, I and 'plenty of other fans' disagree. Barkley never achieved his potential and even at Villa it felt like he had given up and didn't really care that much anymore, could be argued injuries ruined him. Hard to say if he really had a poor attitude but he definitely didn't work hard enough. Phil has had a much more successful career than Barkley even despite it's down turn in recent years. The issue as I see it, is he isn't fast, pressing, tackling midfielder that everyone now associates with 'having the right ethic, application and attitude.' Not everyone has to be a workhouse dynamo. Maybe Phil needs to adjust to the speed of the Premiership and has failed to do so with us, maybe he just needs better coaching and players that are capable of getting on the same wave length. He has shown he can do it, some of the goals he has created and scored for us have been superb, just needs to do it more often.

not sure why the world hasn't grasped that the internet will say anything about anyone if it gets clicks and traffic, print enough garbage and one of those pieces of crap will match the 'actual facts'. Opinion isn't fact. Things that make you feel good or amplify/massage your own prejudices, beliefs, emotions, gut reactions, whims, also don't make any of those things anymore justified. The internet can reflect everything you want it to, just don't let facts or balanced thought get in the way. Now over to Tom with the weather
