But our lack of depth and options is making us too predictable, mark/get contact Buendia every opportunity and stick two markers on Watkin's and close down Moreno and we are done. I can see why Emery played Traore instead of Dendoncker, but it unbalanced our midfield and Bert didn't do much, neither did Bailey. JJ and McGinn don't do enough when it matters most (on current form) and subs really late in the day when we are losing rarely make much impact. I would like to see Duran and Carlos used from the start next game, put Konsa at right back, rest JJ or McGinn. Maybe even start Coutinho instead of Buendia.

Or Luiz who had about three touches and Donk even less. I bet before a game's even finished you're on this thread readying your disdain and anger. Buendia has been awful the last two games but he's not alone, we need more depth in this squad, but he is one of very few that can make anything happen, but we do need more and better options, but I feel with better players around him Buendia still has plenty to offer. As a team the injuries have cost us dearly as we look tired and a mile of the pace, Emi needs to rotate players and give some a rest.

Part time QPR player? He's only not played recently due to injuries, he's started almost every week before injuries and at times has looked head and shoulders above all their other players in that squad. My missus is a QPR fan, so like it or not I see a lot of their mostly terrible matches, but it means I've got to watch a lot of Tim's football and I've been very impressed, he is certainly no worse than Dendoncker is currently and I am not anti big Donck either, just saying Tim has is actually more mobile - he is a box to box midfielder, whereas Leon is more holding/defensive midfielder. They are not like for like. He is 19 years old, I would say he could do another year's loan somewhere, but if we recall him, and we get a few cup runs (and maybe Europe) he can definitely do a job for us.

But oddly there have been plenty of times where he has weathered tackles and kept possession and not been easy to get off the ball, so I don't understand why he's become so bad at retaining possession this season, no one can tell me he's not capable of this.

because he's looked better there for us than on the right... mostly This is also the issue, when we have played with two wingers or Gresford they've swapped sides at times, making them harder to predict/mark, but we play his as a single.... I don't know what, is he a striker/fwd/winger?

Today he tried to avoid losing possession by taking on 3-4 players, instead playing it safe, which he still gets dog's abuse for. I don't get it, we just don't play to his strengths which are A: Playing on the left B: Playing the ball in front of him Not saying he is good enough on any level, but most of our play is very slow with the occasional counter and it doesn't suit him or Buendia.
