  1. On Showtime his ratings are pretty impressive. He's not drawing a huge gate but who draws huge gates in America. Biggest venues hold probably 20 k max. He's not headlined a PPV yet. That'll be the teller. Can't headline a PPV fighting a dud. Mayweather won't let him near Lomachenko.
  2. Gervonta Davis stopped Gamboa in the 12th. He really needs to step up. He gets top billing, draws huge numbers but not fought anyone yet.
  3. I dunno, im a bit funny about American coaches to be fair. I don't think been the top dog in a league where you are expected to be the top dog and have far greater financial muscle than others, carries much weight. They gave Liverpool a fair rattle in the CL though. Kudos.
  4. Is it just me or do they not seem a very together bunch either. Cliques within a setup. Aside from the fact as a collective we are just pretty rubbish right now.
  5. Looks bare minimum. I think though he's probably a reflection of how poor our coaching is. I think they signed this kid thinking he was gonna tear it up. Needed no work. He's raw. Has talent. Poor work rate, doesn't look to be improving on his mistakes.
  6. We'll see. They wanted Henry initially. That was the worst kept secret ever. Might be good business people but might not have a scooby about football. Time will tell. Be burned too often before.
  7. But he didn't lose Jack, McGinn, and Mings so......
  8. I like Howe. Really do. He's in a poor spell at Bournemouth at the minute but remarkable the job he's done there. I don't think you can undervalue the importance of domestic players in the league you are playing in. He has a great eye for good british talent. Lewis Cook a steal, bad luck with injury, Gosling is a real pro - gets it. Even his spell at Burnley, signed Mee, Trippier and Ings.
  9. Read before he joined Leeds that he spoke with Swansea shortly after they got relegated. Knew a tonne about all their players. Who he wanted in, who had to go. They were a bit freaked out and didn't contact him thereafter.
  10. Why was JT even on the ticket in the first place. I found that extremely bizzare. Even when it was looking like Henry, JT was still being talked about to come in. It seems that whoever got the job, he was part of the staff regardless.
  11. Spot on. Too easy to say " oh yeah but we are a promoted side " So are Norwich. So are Sheffield United. Both sticking to the same styles/philosophy that got them promoted ( with varying degrees of success mind but still ) We are one of the most mish mash, undrilled, badly coached , no discernible style of play sides ive seen in a long while. Why don't we go for Bielsa ? What a manager he is. Sure , they are flying high but why not ask. No harm in that.
  12. Unless your buying top quality proven quality from abroad, you are taking a punt. Nakamba looks dreadful. Awful footballer.
  13. He's a spoofer. Looks impressive. What's worrying is i think Purslow rates him. With what we paid for Nakamba we could of got Billing. Tonne of PL experience. Built like a shithouse and really good on the ball.
  14. I agree. This is all very Gueye, Veretout, and Traore for me.
  15. You change the coaching staff and head coach. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
  16. Are u shagging Smith ? What would he need to do to come in for criticism from you ? I mean, you've openly stated you'd stick with him if he takes us down. Also, you don't get a millwall, Rotherham, Ipswich or Bolton in this league to go on a big run. Grealish coming back helped him enormously. He had the best striker in the league also.
  17. I would expect us to be competitive against sides around us yes. If we don't we'll be relegated, not rocket science.
  18. Built like a child..Always rushed on the ball. He's not that good.
  19. Dunno, lot of money in the pot for this. They've known about Feb 22nd for quite some time , even before Wilder rematched Ortiz.
  20. I think Fury punches hard enough. He hurt Wilder in the 12th when Wilder thought he had him done. If Fury had no punching power, Wilder could of opened up and pulled the trigger at any stage. He didn't and probably couldn't because Fury is too good of a pure boxer for him. He's no fool. If he opens up and tries to take him out early doors, he'll get hit often.
  21. Didn't spend 140 million in their relegation season though but hey let's not mention that. Wouldn't want something as trivial as facts getting in the way of a good rant.
  22. Oh great, lets replace a manager who can't defend with a one who's even worse at it.
  23. Burnley didn't have a 140 million outlay on players when they came up though. They are a regional club. Their business model and ours will always be different. It would not be awful to get rid. If you want loyalty buy a dog.
