  1. He came out of it with flying colours yes but it coincided with Grealish returning. No escaping that.
  2. Like a line from a bad break up.
  3. Pretty sure Grealish coming back and having the best striker in the championship had a little to do with it also.
  4. Paddy got ridiculed and rightly so in the end. Would he of brought Gueye and Veretout in ? Seen a bit of Roma - Fiorentina last night. Veretout running it.
  5. You'd like to think there are people at the club competent enough to sound the right people out , even if they aren't a name. Not many Southampton fans had heard of pochettino and Adkins wasn't even doing too bad when he got sacked. This Suso bloke worries me though.
  6. "Used to clean the seats in the holte end as a kid " Not gonna dine out on that one much longer Deano.
  7. Weak as a kitten. Should of went for Phillips.
  8. Look at Villa been all cute going out " spotting " talent in the relegation zone in France and a player who played with a club who are probably not even top 6 in Turkey. Dear oh dear. Is it such a shock though, i mean it would of been more of a surprise had it worked, right ?
  9. Oh do one, patronising. Entitled my arse. You said after we got tanked by Leicester you want Smith to stay even if we are relegated. Space cadet.
  10. Yeah god, we definetely wouldn't want to do that now would we .
  11. What even is this ? Like a load of individuals just lumped together. Can't play. Can't score. Can't defend. Think Deano is woefully out of his depth here and it's showing.
  12. He still needs lots of space to be effective though. Very weak physically. If he went into a central role he'd be found out pretty quickly. Press him, loses the ball.
  13. Who knew that beating Liverpool 5 zip would spark little to no excitement. Embarrassing scenario really to of been in. We weren't to blame, we fulfilled the fixture.
  14. Redknapp is a prick too. Stiff belt to the jaw wouldn't go astray on him.
  15. I dunno, those Liverpool kids are streets above what wolves put out. It'll be tricky.
  16. If Bob can't deliver Crawford a grade A opponent next year he should just buy out the remainder of his contract like Mayweather did when he was with him, go with Haymon, then there is no barrier to fighting a Thurman , Garcia, Porter or Spence ( still not sure what his situation is ) I like Crawford, there's no ducking in him. Comes across as too quiet though. He shouldn't be fighting some Lithuanian nobody knows at this stage. Top rank have no top welterweights. Needs to move. I agree, his resume is pretty thin.
  17. Fury split with trainer Ben Davison today. Rumours abound that he's gonna be trained by Sugar Hill. No real downside to this. Massive upgrade in fairness no disrespect to Davison. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Andy Lee has some involvement in this. He's close to Fury and knows Hill very well from his Kronk days.
  18. He's had plenty of minutes. Weak as piss. I think he's struggled badly so far.
  19. https://mobile.twitter.com/reluctantnicko/status/1205931136536530944 Agreed.
  20. This sillyness needs to stop. This clutching at straws stuff. " The winnable run of games coming up " Today was suppose to be the start of this run. The home games were also against Burnley, Bournemouth, West Ham. Won none of them. What's it gonna be next week " everyone needs to relax, we have a poor record against Southampton at VP when they wear their red and white stripes and score against us between the 23rd and 52nd minute " Jesus wept. You've the next game. That's it. No runs. Nothing. You turn up and perform or get beaten.
  21. Its funny. Sheffield United probably resemble 98/99 Villa more than any other premier league side. Manic work rate. No ego. No fear. Predominantly British.
  22. One of the biggest issues i have is this. Purslow said in the summer that we were going away from the loan model and signing players outright. That's fine. Good plan actually. He also mentioned that we were going to be signing players who have good re-sale value in the future. Again, good thought process. But the primary and number one objective when signing any player is does he fit the philosophy and idea of how the manager wants to play the game. Wesley looks to of been a business signing, not a pure footballing one. Like someone mentioned previously you'd of never seen Smith sign a player like Wesley at Brentford. Again though they have a philosophy of how they want it played from top to bottom. I'd question our recruitment drive. I'd want to know more. If the stats guys who know nothing about football are telling us according to their data and analytics that X and Y will be worth whatever in 3 years time and we should sign him, that model worries me. Application. Work rate, talent, do they play the way we want them to. After all that's been asked, the rest can take care of itself.
  23. Can you see it. ? Would be great if you could explain it to us layman.
  24. Other teams didn't spend 140 million. Can't have your cake and eat it. Spend that much and spunk it and questions will be asked. They don't get a free pass to dust themselves off and go again.
