  1. Not that I'm complaining, but anyone know the thinking behind dropping Jedi into Defense and not bringing on Elphick? Tommy always has a mistake in him so maybe that's why. Good result though especially with the injuries. Hutton new right winger!
  2. Awesome job from the lads didn't think the goal was going to come! We've finally done the double over someone in a season! Anyone know who and when we last did that against?
  3. Agree with the Bunn comment. Looked commanding and dependable on a few crosses and chasing balls in the area down. Amazing what this can do for our defenders not having to worry about dodgy keeping.
  4. I agree. Other areas need looking at first. Gollini can do a job. I think most Liverpool fans would take Gollini right now.
  5. Great thread! Bringing back a lot of memories from our O'so near teams. Ian Taylor will always be my favorite though, as someone else pointed out, every time he put the shirt on it was like we all were.
  6. How long is this guy contracted for? Is he recall-able? Probably has no interest at all in coming to play for us in the Championship, which is a shame as I think he'd tear the place up.
  7. Agreed. Listened to the game on the Villa website. Tony Morley was borderline about to start swearing, he was so frustrated, because of exactly the point you made.
  8. Appears there is some history here that I'm just not privy too. Above points noted.
  9. Wow, I'm not familiar with that incident. Certainly not the best example of professionalism ever expressed lol. Out of interest who won?
  10. I'm pretty sure this appointment (as others have pointed out) is just so that Randy has an inside man who he knows and trusts on the board. I'd also agree that some of Krulaks comments to the press come off as a tad silly and naive. I draw the line at some of the personal insults though, let's not forget the guy fought in Vietnam and was in charge of the entire United States Marine Corp. While this in no way qualifies him to be making decisions for a Football club, as a former military man myself I think he deserves some respect for his service.
  11. I'm going to take the optimistic approach and say that Hollis came in, didn't do anything on the spur of the moment and reviewed everything thoroughly before making changes. You can say what you want about the firings and the new guys brought into the board, but the bottom line is, it's the 11 guys we put on the pitch each game that really matter. Obviously anyone involved in assembling this squad have a lot to answer for and I can only assume from the recent changes, Hollis didn't like what he heard and shook things up. Only time will tell.............
  12. Money ball is what you described. Great for Baseball, shitty for Football.
  13. It finally appears that someone is doing something about this shit show of a season. Gotta start somewhere............
  14. I haven't fell this bad since Villa lost 3-0 to Wimbledon at home and Platt missed a penalty. (Long time fans will know all about this game) This team are shit and not worthy of the shirt.
  15. Gabby is a rocket polisher shite **** collecting a paycheck. I hate him.
  16. I think even Carl Tyler and Colin Calderwood would be preferable to the current shit we have.
  17. Way to charge out and do **** all there Micah
  18. Veretout should not come out for the 2nd half.
  19. Yiiipppeeeee 5 minutes gone and didn't concede yet.
  20. We could also celebrate whenever Gabby touches the ball. That's rarer than us actually scoring.
  21. 3 at the back again where no one has a fing clue where they are supposed to be....................
  22. Agreed. If we got a 5 goal lead prior to kick off and Man City started with 8 players were still going to lose 10-5.
