From the radio commentary on the website it sounds like we are pegged back and hanging on for dear life.

I suggest we take it game by game. IMO the televised game against Norwich earlier this year was the worst Villa performance I've ever seen in my 30 years as a Villa fan. While I'm hoping and praying we still have a slim possibility at making the playoffs this year, I can't think past the Norwich game at the moment as I want us to maul them after what happened before.

Don't rate Gary at all. Runs around enough, just not much else. Dodgy passing, doesn't score or for that matter shoot enough, neither does he tackle and win the ball back with any great consistency. I honestly don't even consider him a decent backup if Jedi, Conor or Henri are out due to injury or suspension. Nice enough lad, I just don't understand how he got a new contract. If he can't do a job in the Championship, how can be expected to do anything in the Prem, which is where we all intend to be in the next year or so.

If Bruce gave us all a Cheque for a million quid, there would be bitching about the quality of his hand writing......... He's going to get next season to get us promoted and should rightly be fired if he doesn't. For now let's get behind the guy and the team, to get out of this crappy division and back where we belong. He could play with 7 full backs for all I care if he keeps picking up victories. The time to worry about style of play is when we've solidified ourselves back in the Prem for 2-3 seasons, right now who cares as long as we WIN.

Little concerned about Gary Gardner today, didn't seem at the races and didn't have any period in the game where he bossed the midfield, against, let's face it a terrible Wigan side. Things seemed to go much better when we stopped playing Adomah as a Stiker and brought on Henri and Hogan.

Most interesting part of the commentary so far was when they switched to the Walsall game........ Albert off Hogan on ffs

The injury seems to have killed him, hopefully he will come back after another pre-season. IMO worth a shout playing wide left until Green's back, at least. Always looked a liability defensively, but that left peg has some quality in it at times.

This came up in commentary on the Villa website the other week. (I assume your referring to the bandage?) He wears it as a superstition.
