  1. I think I still have a tenner from my trip to the UK two weeks ago.
  2. I agree with the majority of your points. I personally think that the reason Watford were able to effectively shut the game down for the last 10 minutes, was when we replaced a midfielder to go with two up top (Gana for Rudy I believe). While Gana wasn't that great, missing that extra body in the center of the park made it much easier for Watford. Using Rudy as an aerial target man is all well and good, but let's face it, he can't hold the ball up at his feet even if you put super glue on his boots, hence after he came on we never really got anything going in the final 1/3.
  3. Your right, it's not that the lad doesn't try, he's just simply not good enough. It's of course sods law that Amavi was the one who got injured for the rest of the season and we have no other options at LB. Despite Amavi's short comings defensively, he offers a billion % more attacking threat than Richardson does.
  4. I agree. When like 10 minutes of the movie is watching people run around a futuristic bureaucracy filling out paper work, you really have to scratch your head.
  5. How much is Randolph asking for right now? You've got to think that if we do go down he'll have to drop his asking price significantly. I'm still quite shocked there hasn't been more interest in buying us to be honest. I'd have thought a team with enough support to have 40k bums in seats every other Saturday would be an attractive proposition.
  6. I 100% agree with everything the above poster said.
  7. I recall him making 1 pass, sideways or otherwise. If this kid could learn the merits of a "give and go" he'd be scary. It's difficult to decide if he's just greedy or doesn't trust his team mates to do anything with the ball, once he's passed it.
  8. Not sure what game those people were watching to be honest (Although I didn't actually hear the comments). I live in the US and we have something over here called NBC Sports Live Extra, which allows you to "Legally" watch every single premier league game on the web, even if it's not on a TV channel. I've streamed every game this year (Apart from the game against Man City, that I was actually able to attend) and I'll be honest, at first I thought he was a right plonker. For me Ayew turned it around after he came on against Birmingham in the league cup game. He's shown he can run with ball, has a decent shot from distance and has the ability to finish. Yeah I know he missed that sitter today, but if anyone saw the chances Sterling and De Bruyne missed against us in the Man City game, that can happen to anyone. The kid definitely put a shift in today and always seemed to want the ball. If giving it 100% and getting on the score sheet isn't enough, I'm not sure what else the guy could do?
  9. Did ok today in my opinion. Not sure what he could have done about any of the goals.
  10. Ran his arse off today, took his goal well. Ok he missed that one clear cut chance, but didn't let his head drop. Looked like he wanted to burst into tears when being interviewed on Sky, I get the impression he's upset that the team are letting the fans down. Liking this kid more and more over the last few weeks, a bright spot in an otherwise shambolic season......
  11. 10/10 for effort lads, but ffs can we stop with the stupid errors! Gutted!
  12. Is it just me or does anyone else need a shot of something strong whenever we pass the ball back to Brad on the deck? If I was the opposition I'd high press Brad and the defenders every time. At least once over the 90 minutes someone is bound to do something stupid. I live in America and I hold my breath whenever he goes to kick the ball, just incase I put him off
  13. Everything he said in the interview is true, so I'm not sure how anyone could have a problem with it. Hopefully one or two in the dressing room will take a good look at themselves and give 200% next time out. These are grown men, I doubt very much anyone was yelling for their mommy, after hearing the captains comments.
  14. This game has "Mess in trousers" written all over it. If we can't get it done against Watford at home, I simply can't see where we are going to get another win from.
  15. He's all right foot, but looks like he can do a job. Definitely has the quality to succeed in this league. Playing him as a lone striker and pumping the ball upto him in the air isn't going to get the best out of him though, definitely needs a settled strike partner.
  16. Howdy, I'm a 36 year old, life long Villa fan, born and raised in Birmingham, but currently based in New Jersey USA. Recently visited England for the first time in 12 years and attended the game against Man City at Villa Park. Due to our current plight I've been browsing fan sites to see the views of other fans and would like to share my own, hence the reason for submitting this application
