  1. I think a lot of people would struggle to find the UK on a map let alone any of the cities.
  2. It's bigger than brexit though. You only have to look at the rise of the far right on the continent (Le Pen got 41% of the vote in the French election) or how many people voted for Trump. There is something very disturbing going on in the world right now.

    Scotland trip

We've driven past Loch Lomond before but never stopped there so might be a good option. We'd be going with an American couple who haven't really seen much of Scotland and are adamant that there isn't any real wilderness in the UK so wanted to get the Highlands in. I've heard good things about Inverness but it's an awful long way away as it's 7 odd hours drive.
  4. My favourite pizza is probably tuna, olive and anchovies. Happy for prawns to be on there but the rare occasions you get capers too it's fantastic.
  5. Nothing wrong with chicken on a pizza. Tried to get him to order this one but he refused.
  6. This would have been a much better statue for them to have put up.
  7. De Gea is only 31 so should be around a while yet.
  8. Mine just sucks to be honest with you. Massively oversensitive and goes mental when I know there's not cables there and sometimes manages to not detect where I know cables are. I suspect it's trying to kill me.
  9. Lived in and around Leeds for nearly 20 years and it is a lovely area. It's just filled with idiots and transportation is a joke. I'm in no rush to back anytime soon though so that says a lot.
  10. Ordered a takeaway pizza and the lad wanted a chicken one. The restaurant used Tikka or something else with spice on the chicken without advertising this and now he won't eat it. Money down the drain that could have been easily avoided of they'd advertised properly.
  11. It'd be a - 4 now (had to swap Guehi out as he missed the first game - against us). Not sure he's worth it now.
  12. I consider 6.30am a lie in nowadays. Even if the 4 year old isn't up by then my body clock has adjusted so that I am. I usually wake up about 5.30 most days.
  13. I know several back office staff at some of the major UK Banks who are being pushed back into the office. I've seen similar with other large firms like legal or insurance. Mostly hybrid models but with a definite push to get people back into hub sites. People being explicitly told their contacts are not WFH ones. This might obviously change in a few years when leases on the large office buildings come to an end but there's a definite push for them not to be empty.
  14. Completely agree. By polite and helpful where required but then demand to speak to a lawyer before going further. Video evidence of interactions is key. Also asking "is that an order or request and will I be arrested if I refuse?" is an important question.

    Scotland trip

Looking for some recommendations for where to go in Scotland and what to do. Glasgow and Edinburgh have been done already so thinking Loch Ness and the Highlands maybe. We're wanting to see something new and also get a distillery trip in. Any ideas?
  16. Do you find it works well? My stud finder has an AC function but it just goes off all the time and is completely unreliable.
  17. I'll let you argue that one with them and Patel. I don't agree with the police state we're becoming but showing my driving licence is an easy de-escalation and doesn't seem like the hill to die on. I've been stopped before and missed trains because of it but easier to just deal with the aggro and put in a complaint later.
  18. I like his Watford fixture but that Chelsea one gives me doubts.
  19. Didn't phrase that very well. He missed two back to back games (Spurs and Everton) in the last 2 gameweeks so should be fully rested.
  20. Having replaced a few face plates in the house I've seen a few cables which appear to run horizontally. The wall I need to drill into is a thin plaster board one and I'll be drilling between two sockets on the other side of that. I should be absolutely fine but sods law I could go ever so slightly to far through and clip a random cable. I think I'll just make some small holes by hand and feel about with a screwdriver to try and find any cables. The magnet and screw thing wasn't for finding cables but is a handy trick for finding studs, nails, screws hidden in walls. I was hoping for some similar trick to find cables.
