Hate is subjective ... I usually hate most things I disagree with and that is just another of our species flaws ! I am sat in my pants hating shit.. I am not chopping the heads off of things I disagree with ! I get that, but neither are 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the world's Muslims. Maybe not ... But 50% are treating women like shit or indoctrinating their poor kids into a perpetual circle of stupidity or being homophobic ... I could go on! I hate that shit. With a passion.

You can hate Islam and all that it stands for but still get along with Muslims just for the record ! "Hey Abdul, I despise everything about your spiritual belief system. Wanna grab a pint?" I hate racism but I have racist friends . I hate small queef but am friends with a lot of supporters! Its fine to hate ideas but you have to make allowances for the fallible humans who believe that bollocks !

Why has he played for Ireland 18 times? Because the FAI would select somebody who owns a Father Ted boxset if they can kick a ball. Just because the FAI want to select somebody, doesn't mean that person has to accept the selection. When you are old enough to play for the U21's you are old enough to decide what country you want to represent. Simple as that. Yet you seem perturbed that he is putting time and thought into this decision ?
