Smiths earned another season in my eyes. At one stage after the Man U game it looked like we wernt improving but the fact we went unbeaten in 4 and stayed up shows lessons are being learnt. Above that the contrast between pre lockdown and post lockdown defensively shows how much work is being down to improve us and it’s actually working. He has my support.

I think he’s shown enough to be an ok squad player.

Come on, he came back from a broken ankle which ended up with 6 months or so without football. I think he’s been a big players for us.

I don’t think it would matter. More important would be key players are fit. However they have a ok squad so players they bring in should still give Watford a game.

I wanted to have both games on at the same time but I’ve only got BT sport on an app so it would lag the Watford game. So I guess I’ll just watch the villa game and refrain from looking at my phone throughout.

There’s certain players that will always start in the final. My worry is they will not be involved.

I think he’s gone no matter what the outcome. But it’s normal, there’s no team in the world apart from maybe Real Madrid and Barcelona that haven’t at one stage lost a player to a bigger club. It’s not like Southgate joining Middlesbrough because they apparently had more ambition. We’re talking about one of the best players we’d had in a very long and one that can and needs to be playing at the highest level. The most important thing is getting good money for him and reinvesting it. When he leaves I personally hopes he goes to City. Would love to see how he played in that team. There’s life beyond Jack.
