  1. FFS. Surely Carlos's injury is made up as it isn't reported as an ACL! I'd rather have Lenglet at RCB than have Chambers on the pitch.
  2. They will be the only Gais in the West Midlands Village (according to Little Britain and Pro Evo).
  3. 5th best player in the championship this season with a rating of 7.48, according to whoscored.
  4. I bet you are right laugh at parties! We are only 1pt behind 4th and have lost Kamara to injury. Most of the other injury absentees are either back or will be back in a few weeks. Hardly time to write off the season.
  5. They are comparable, as both resulted in their legs landing on the ground in a way where the knee is not supported. Looking at the position Kamara's leg was in at the time of the injury I'd highly doubt many footballers would come away from that without serious injury. As for coming back and able to perform at the same level then that is a different thing. A lot of players don't seem to be able to play the same as before, but I guess that depends on their role. Skillful attackers will be more impacted, as there is more strain on their knee from the quick twisting and turning, while a CB isn't as effected. So I'd worry more for Buendia than Mings or Kamara.
  6. Mings's and Kamara's ACL injuries were the result of them losing their footing and their entire bodyweight putting pressure on the knee. No training programme or squad management strategy can prevent that from happening. Down to bad luck.
  7. I would have thought that he will be out for over 1 month at least. But I agree it doesn't look anywhere near as bad as Mings's, as he was stretched off and in absolute agony. Kamara walked off, albeit in some discomfort.
  8. Sick of it! Lose so often to them. It doesn't matter how bad their team play it's the same result.
  9. We have been the better team since the goal but just can't find the final pass. I feel like we will get some opportunities in the second half to get a goal or 2.
  10. I want to see him run onto the pitch just as the set piece is being taken and score with a diving header at the back post.
  11. Attack will be the best form of defence today, although chance creation might be tougher with Casimiro and Mainoo in midfield. Bring back the days of Fred and Mctominey! That front 4 will be pressing high which is also going to cause issues with Carlos and lenglet in defence. It's really got the feel of the Newcastle and Chelsea games in how it is going to play out. I hope I'm wrong.
  12. They have developed that annoying habit of finding a way to get a result at the last minute.
  13. It's not just a couple of results. Performances since the arsenal game have been poor. It is not bad form and is 100% a tactical issue. Compare the game against Sheffield United away, where we were given space and were allowed to play our way - we hammer them. In contrast, we were not given any space against Everton, Burnley, Sheffield, Newcastle and Chelsea at home and the result is a low points haul and exit from the fa cup. If we don't change our approach then the trend will continue - it's the old adage...do the same thing, get the same result.
  14. I'd prefer it if he had hot, fiery chorizo breath and used it to set fire to Garnacho's barnet.
  15. I think Pau improves us but our poor performances are down to the team as a whole (individuals not in form or making errors)and the opposition tactics to nullify our midfield.
  16. Teams are either parking the bus to reduce passing options from midfield to attack or pressing high and stopping passing lanes from defence to midfield. Both tactics stop our midfield from playing their game. When they are given space you get performances like Sheffield United. Unfortunately these situations are becoming fewer and fewer, as teams have worked out how to nullify our threat. Emery needs to come up with a plan B to deal with it asap. Otherwise it's going to be a very disappointing second half of the season.
  17. At a guess... In time for Fulham or forest at the latest
  18. He is getting a run the team, so I'd expect him to be up to speed by now.
  19. I disagree. Gerrard would have been lauded as it would have been one of his best every managerial performances.
  20. Strange decisions tonight. No changes at half time and so no difference in performance or tactical structure in the second half. It was clear to see early on that this team wasn't going too improve without a few substitutions, but he left it over 70 minutes before making any. By then the game had pretty much gone and there wasn't much time to turn it around in any case. Then Emery makes two pointless subs in the 85 minutes...I really can't see the reasoning. All a bit bizarre and very unEmery-like.
  21. We are struggling to create chances at home, no matter the quality of opposition. It is a worrying trend that Emery needs to sort out asap if we are going too qualify for champions league this season
  22. I'd take him off, move tielemans into his position and bring on Ramsey
  23. After seeing the press conference today, I would not want to be Harry Potter meeting Emery down a dark alley. He would probably end up shoving the magic wand somewhere very personal!
  24. That post is going to get dogs abuse next time we are at Bramall Lane....mark my words!!!
