    Sounds like Bolton have an effective game plan. We sound a bit clueless, Gabby working hard but the Collins hoof seems to be the only thing at the moment.

    It worries me just how difficult it seems to even get close to winning any game, I don't see us winning many games at all this season. Although we look decent defensively, it's going to be a very long, boring and unadventurous season, many more draws to come i think. Whoopee doo.

    Just watching LA Galaxy v Man.City and Balotelli's at it again even in a friendly. He was in on goal and just sort of turned his body and tried a back heel, which he shot hopelessly wide, Dzeko was on his own for an easy tap in. All the city players were having a go at him, Mancini was furious and immediately subbed him, crowd were all on his back and he did his usual strop, pointing at people and threw a water bottle on the pitch, ha!

    I caught a bit of Germany vs Nigeria yesterday, was a very heated game, some of the tackles going in were some of the worst i've seen for ages.

    Elfen lied is a really good series that I recently watched, i'd recommend that. Also, I'm quite a big fan of Tsutomu Nihei comics, Biomega/Blame!/Noise. Blame! was released as a series of seven short movies back in the late 90's, you can find them fairly easily around the internet now and they are fantastic - very dark and defining for the cyber punk genre. ..and of course, Ghost in the Shell, arguably one of the most important films of all time.

    Tried not to comment until a manager was actually in place but let's be honest this looks pretty much done. I'm not really angered, i'm just puzzled. This appointment makes no rational sense whatsoever, I just can't think of any genuine benefits of bringing Mcleish in. I'm worried for the future of our football club.

    It's on the SSN yellow bar thing. "Sky Sources: Aston Villa make contact with Rafa Benitez about managerial job". This doesn't really mean anything though, I would have fully expected the club to have been in contact with him at some stage.

    As each day passes without a new manager, the panic levels will rise and rise at the possibility of McLaren taking over until we reach mass message board hysteria and certain doom. I won't be able to take it. We need some positive news.

    Gutted. Worringly, Ancelotti claims that he has absolutely no contact with any club since leaving Chelsea. Dunno if that's the truth or not, but if our board haven't even tried, I would be very, very disappointed. Who on earth are we looking at?

    Other than the fact he would only achieve incredibly average things for our club, it's what he's like as a bloke that I can't stand. He's a slime and an arse licker, no personality, no authority and the players would walk all over him. Would be a nightmare.

    I've warmed to the idea of Ancelotti and Wilkins, but like many others i'll breathe a massive sigh of relief if it's not Mclaren.

    Great result! It could have been easy for us to have given up after the Wigan game but absolute fair play to the team and to GMac for the hunger and spirit we've shown in the last two games. Brilliant character shown by the team and sneaking in to 9th is an excellent achievement after a nightmare season. Very happy right now

    End of the season for us really, out with a whimper, no chance of picking up anything from the next two games. Safe from relegation, depressed that i've mentioned relegation, depressed that the entire aura around the club is so relaxed and not bothered. Likely to now finish 14th-15th. Massive changes have to be made in the summer, not sure I can deal with another season like this.
