  1. A Russian Communist named Rudolf Romanov was driving through the countryside road with his wife, when he saw that the sky looked overcast. He said, "It's definitely about to rain." His wife said, "No, it isn't. It's just a few isolated clouds." "No", he said. "It's going to rain, for sure." "But the weather reports say it will be sunny," she told him. "Trust me," he said. "Rudolf the Red knows rain, dear."
  2. Saw this tweet on my timeline. Think it's fitting to put it here, hahahaha spooge1873 @sidlowe Heskey (9 goals) is only 235 goals away from becoming Aston Villas all-time leading goal scorer. He's only 34 years old. Frightening.
  3. Great video, thanks for that! The finish on 36 is just wow, ha!
  4. He has just equalled Barca's all time scoring record........ he is 24.
  5. I had a hilarious moment with two random Spanish guys in co-op. During the sledge boss fight, they just stopped playing and had a proper full on argument over the microphone. I was like, 'Err.... guys?, umm, boss?'
  6. Obviously i'll say Dark Souls Deus Ex: Human Revolutiuon is brilliant as well. Just a top, top game from start to finish, an excellent experience.
  7. Bizarrely, I am getting more into it. The second zone is very Mad Max and has a sort of atmosphere about it. I've just found incredibly annoying moments in it though. I'm playing as a hunter, yet the game just isn't designed to be stealthy at all, if you snipe a guy in silence, it will always trigger a wave of mobs. I like to take time and explore open worlds, I don't like the feeling of being rushed, but the constant waves of respawning mobs makes the game just a blast, blast, blast - pick up quest, blast, blast, blast and there are some really poorly designed enemies and strange AI. This style of game is absolutely fine, it's just not my usual taste. That said, it's a few years old now. At the time, my opinion on it would probably be different.
  8. I'm playing Borderlands. Got the GOTY Edition for £5 off Steam recently. I have to say, it's quite possibly the most annoying game I've ever played. However, something keeps dragging me back to it, but If I don't see another skag ever again, I will be a happy man.
  9. Completely the right decision; the minds of too many Bolton players would be elsewhere and just wouldn't be fair. Be interesting to see when this is rescheduled for, as it's one of only a few more winnable games we have this season.
  10. There was a stat on the Football Weekly podcast that Real Madrid had averaged 3.1 goals a game this season. If they keep it up till the end of the season, it'll be the highest average of any team across all five major European leagues since before the second world war. A remarkable stat, particularly as it shows how Mourinho has changed his managerial style since joining Madrid.
  11. I'm the biggest pessimist in the world. However, I just cannot see Wigan, Wolves, QPR (or Bolton) getting to 33 points and us not picking up anything from now till the end of the season. They would all have to go on runs which they haven't got close to all season and current form suggests it's very unlikely. 35 points will almost certainly be enough.
  12. Usually it's too difficult to predict who'll be relegated at this stage of the season, but I can't see past Wigan, Wolves and QPR. Blackburn and Bolton will be fine, imo. Bolton are woeful but they have the fixtures to put something together.
  13. 200k I believe he got back. It's just too insane to contemplate.
  14. Someone's put £80k on Simonsig.
  15. These are my bets today. I have no idea about any of the horses but I've made a tidy little profit the last few years, just from tips from message boards, etc. VT had some good tips last year too. Good luck! £1-Quantitativeeasing @13/2 E/W (14:40) £2-Zarkandar @15/2 WIN (15:20) £2-Agent Archie @33/1 E/W (13:30) Clare Balding on Twitter is giving her daily tips, seems quite good.
  16. On a side note, how good is our pitch? Good work, pitch people
  17. Probably the most complex human in the world. He has so much ability though, it's frightening. He's done well lately and I know we should all be sick to the teeth of his attitude, but he offers something; a natural ability that no one else in our squad can get close to. He really could become a player to build a team around, I honestly believe that. I'm happy that the fans are really getting behind him. We all watch this game to see genuinely gifted footballers, and he really is one of the most talented we've had since Merson, imo.
  18. My dad lives in Cyprus, he lives right opposite Deryneia FC's ground. It's literally a piece of torn up grass, one ruined turnstile and a stand that holds about 50 people. They recently got into the first division and play the likes of APOEL. Obviously the Nicosia clubs are much larger but this is such an achievement for a team in that league, it's unreal.
  19. No amount of money would buy him, imo. We're not talking about your general world class player - we're talking about one of, if not the greatest player to ever live. It simply can't be bought by the highest bidder. Messi's whole upbringing, training, development has been built around Barca's philosophy and made him the player he is. I imagine one day, he will leave, but not till the later stages of his career and Man.City would be near the bottom of his list of places to go. Wouldn't really make any sense.
  20. Just the five tonight then. The weird thing is, it's just become normal and I'm not as surprised as I should be. Truly remarkable footballer; his appetite for the game is astonishing, something I'm not sure we've seen on the planet before.
