  1. qpr will gamble this transfer window, fernandes said that if qpr fail then he will walk away, he will not want to walk away so will do as much as he can to keep them up, if it means buying the best players from the clubs around them, i wouldnt be suprised. i want bent here, we deserve him, he doesnt deserve the tactics or style of play he has been forced to play under. it looks like he isnt trying in most games, i wouldnt if all that i saw was the ball 35 foot in the air and 2 defenders around me 9 out of 10 'passes' to me.
  2. i have a feeling it will be like that throughout the world, hardley anywhere to get a top, no matter how good or bad it has been made. there is no market awareness for this brand and no one recognises it as a proper brand or associates it with anything or anyone of any success what so ever. nike on the other hand, people think... ronaldo michael jordan tiger woods ( was a good brand at one stage ) roger federer nadal football teams including brazil, france, portugal, holland club teams such as barca man utd arsenal paris st g inter milan juve porto athletico madrid werder bremen psv boca juniors some of the largest clubs in various leagues throughout the world that is quite some list of success attached to them lets look at macron napoli bologna monaco there really is no point listing anyone else unless you want championship standard or alot lower which world sports stars endorse macron though? maybe there are some superstars we didnt know about who endorse macron? hmmm cant see anyone on their website they hint that they are involved at a high level in other sports. ah i though, it lists basket ball, maybe they sponsor the major teams in the NBL? nope not one rugby, rugby has some no traditional sports brands who do quite well so maybe they sponsor the best in rugby? nope baseball? they list baseball so they must have some shit hot teams they are associated with? ah, no they dont, unless you class baseball in italy, spain holland or france as being the best of the best? we then have volleyball and hand ball maybe there is sand castle building? but of course, it is not important that we completely disapear from the high street, our products can only be bought from the villa shop and all signs of our great club are hidden away as there is no distribution network , no shops willing to cheapen their own shops with a lesser brand. not even under doug did we stoop this low. if it were a one off thing but we had a good manager and were high up the league it wouldnt concern most of us as much, it would be innovative and a gamble and no doubt because a youngish or not know about company wanted to smash into the football shirt industry and attach itself to a successful young team. unfortunately we are not successful ( i think most of us would consider staying up almost a success which is how far we have fallen) there can only be one result from changing from nike to macron, randy looking to sell and this offer was the first one to come up, because even someone as stupidly inept as faulkner would see that it will create a huge deficit in our merchendise, our brand, our whole club. it is almost as i have suggested several times already, randy watched trading places and decided on how to make a good club into the laughing stock shittest ran club in the shortest space of time. at least having such a dramatic fall from popularity would then have some sort of explaination no matter how ridiculous. maybe they are trying to use it for the reason to sell bent? " well the fans wouldnt buy the merchendise so we had to sell our best players and its all the fans fault" a ginger twunt was heard to say
  3. whats macrons distribution network throughout the uk and world? is it as vast as nike? how many macron outlets in capital cities across the world are there? how many top sports stars wear macron? how many of you who claim you dont care who makes it as long as it says aston villa, have ever bought a macron top before, or how many macron products have you previously purchased? how many nike products have you ever owned? unless people start lying to try and not look stupid i would guess everyone has at one stage or another had at least 1 non villa nike product, just the 60,000 members of this forum would be 60,000 products none villa ( and the chances are the figure is more like 3 or 4 products none villa) i predict possibly 50 people at most out of the 60,000 have previously bought a macron product so being as generous to macron as i can when realistically the figures are 3 or 4 times at the very least bigger in nikes favour nike outsells macro 1200 to 1 how much does the aston villa casual wear such as polo shirts, tracksuit tops, winter coats and so on, are sold each year? i know several people that only got the footy top normally but when the huge range of nike villa casual ranges came out bought 3 or 4 tops or what ever when previously they didnt. so for those who 'dont care who makes the kit a long as that brand gives us the most money', can you give any kind of prediction or explaination how by selling substantially less villa merchendise, be it footy tops or casual wear it wont effect villas revenue and global branding? unless macron pays villa something around £15 million per season i would guess it is not worth it either financially or in terms of lowering our own product identity any further than it has plumetted in the last 7 months
  4. cheap and nasty, if this happens leets see how many shirts are sold imagine Picture the scene; -peterborough V Aston Villa. It's stoppage time 0-0. Villa have a corner, it finds the head of zigic. Bang 1-0 Villa.peterborough restart play, full-time whistle. 300 Villa fans going wild, apart from one fan. He's sitting there, looking miserable, forcing a half smile. The bloke next to him asks "Hey, what's up with you?". He replies, "I want to celebrate, I really do. It's just...*sigh*...I wish we didn't have Macron on our shirts as like everything else at villa since fukners appointment, it is cheap nasty and no one buys the tops or watches anymore thanks to the shit brand of antifootball forced into the club by the ginger clunge"
  5. this it also gives us some shape and support for the fullbacks who are not having the best of times anyway it is not excusing some of the poor shows ( hutton especially poor) but it cant help when they dont have a regualr player in front of them to help when the other team is attacking. but we cant do it having petrov and clark in the middle, we need more energy and skill than that. i would even be tempted to go to the gregory thoughts of 3 central defenders at the back and wing halves, albrighton and nzog should be able to bomb forwards and get back that would leave petrov heard and ireland in the middle with gabby and bent up front nzog played left back for a season or 2 before an albrighton is quick enough to run up and down the sidelines, both can also deliver a decent ball into the box from deep ( not a hoof but an outswinging deep cross) while not exactly a traditional formation, the likes of dunne cuellar and clark covering the back line while nzog and alby holding further up the pitch SHOULD offer more protection and also give us 5 across the middle when we are on the attack
  6. he may be talking stupid and appear about 10 but there is no need for that sort of language, hang your head in shame
  7. has GC let you stay up late tonight because we won? im guessing your normally tucked away snuggled up in bed for 6pm most saturdays ? you still havented answered any of my previous questions on how the team is set up, who is responsibly for tactics, purchases, style of play and so on. i wonder why that is... oh wait, no i dont, everyone else knows the answer but you. i will give you a heavy clue GC is not a good manager, i can understand your family loyalty however mis placed. night night
  8. we may as well wrap him up in cotton wool and protect him for liverpool if we continue to play how we have been. if however the players take it upon themselves to ignore the GC and play football how it should be played, it will be worth unwrapping him from that cotton wool and playing him. at the moment he looks shit because we play shit anti football, when we get it on the ground and move it around it takes advantage of bents movement, hooof it up in the air nullifies all of bents qualities of off the ball movement and his finishing ( what we paid the money for). this idiot of a manager had a whole preseason, he knew young ( who was poor by his standards last season) and downing were off and had the entire summer to get in a couple wingers, they are not mystical creatures and rare as rocking horse shit . the reason we didnt get anyone like that is because it doesnt agree with the ginger clunges interpretation of how the game should be played. he manages to crush any player with flare or attacking instincts, he literally bores it out of them.
  9. Struggling to work out how to win 0-0!! i think the ginger clunge thinks that IS a win it is sad to see he has forced his family onto here posting nonesense and trying to deflect his quite clear shitness into saying it is the players fault, not GC'S oh well
  10. well it was obvious what the intructions were before the game hoooof and hope heskey wins it ( suprise suprise) luckily a forced substitution and half time brought on gabby for the **** useless lump however the tactics appear to remain the same then in around the 57th minute ireland having walked around with the ball all game without having to hood it, makes yet another short pass on the floor and it spreads to the rest of the players, it dawns on them that if they ignore the orders of the hooooof and actually play the ball on the ground, we could possibly win and look half decent , even against the 4th worst team in the league. we then get to see some good attacking passing, interaction between the forwards ( bent still looked off the pace today, he was ALWAYS at the far post, none of his trade mark darts to the front post) and passing it out from the back, along the floor. unfortunately after the 3rd goal albrighton for some reason, refused to go forwards with the ball, slowing down each attack, this then spread to others in the team and all of a sudden we go back to the official game plan, the order of the hooof is given. players look confused, they can see the order of the hoof in an unlawful order and so try and keep the ball, unfortunately because albrighton kept forcing it back, it made hutton hacve to think hutton doesnt do thinking. he then keeps passing it unnecessarily back into the middle at the back to either a defender being closed down ot the keeper, despite being able to pass it forwards 5 yards to gardener / petrov/ bannan who have dropped to recieve a pass and there we get their goal, hutton with another unnecessary pass back to dunne, dunne then makes a right old **** up, no excuses for shit like that apart from maybe having been given the ball from hutton for the umteenth time when there were midfielders available, he though it better to switch play? it was a **** up which put us under more pressure ultimately dunnes **** up, no arguing from me, however hutton is part of the reason the gaol went in, no need to keep passing it back, no need at all. credit to the players who realised that they can pass it on the floor despite what ever orders they are given from the GC. brad - 8 good penalty save hutton -6 ( he gets this for his forward play, he gets a very low mark for his defensive display) dunne - 6 would have been a 7 if not for his **** up collins -6 he has been given the order of the hoof and follows it blindly, apart from that he was reasonably sturdy against poor opponents warnock - 6 ( he gets this for his midfield work, defensively against no one, he was not comfortable today) petrov -7, he eventually saw what ireland was doing and remembered back to the days when he was allowed to pass the ball on the floor, he still passed it backwards far too many times when there was no need to, however did look for the forward pass from time to time clark- 5 he was poor, however 7, he moved to centre half, we started passing it around linking to the midfield and his mazey run and shot was very nice albrighton - 7 , good goal in a first half which made my eyes bleed, second half was an odd one, he was nice on the ball but as soon as we got the 3rd he became negative, him passing it back made hutton try and think.. this ended up with us **** around too much in our last 3rd. would try and beat the player either after the 3rd goal. ireland - 8 voted him man of the match, he kept it on the floor as much as humanly possible, was slick, attacking and coming back to help out, clever player who thanks to him, got the rest of the team to ignore the order of the hoof. heskey - 4 really? really? REALLY? the GC insists on playing him as it conforms to the order of the hooof, like the GC, e-mule is shite bent - 2 when the order of the hoof was being used 6 when the players ignored the order of the hooof, some decent link up with gabby and started to look half interested when he knew there was a chance he could actually get a ball played into him in the danger area rather than look up in the air and half heartedly having to jump for a ball he wont win, and even if he does, no one will get on the end of it. subs - gabby 7.5, second best player ( if he had played the whole game he would probably have walked man of the match) again ignored the order of the hoof and played it on the floor, great run and shot for his goal after a nice along the floor passing move. gardener - 6 was not on for too long, had a nice run and shot right at the end, unfortunately the order of the hoof had clearly been given again after goal 3 which like all the other midfielders, gives them **** all chance. he needs to get some game time although under GC i fear for his future as with any other player with talents beyond kciking it as hard and high as you can bannan - 5 didnt really have any time to get into the game, this wasnt suited for him as for some reason he only tries to pass it 30 yards, in the air diagonally at the moment. GC? well it is crystal clear what our tactics were, the ancient order of the hooof was given to the players who followed the instruction for the entire first half, it was utterly shit a forced sub gets rid of one of the shittest players the players still follow the order of the hoof until they slowely see ireland still able to keep it on the floor. i credit GC for picking ireland today, however even a blind monkey could see he has been the best passer we have of late for his tactics he gets a 0 for his first team line up he gets a 4 for his half time talk he gets a 0 the players however from the 57th minute onwards get all the credit THEY deserve by clearly ignoring the dull turgid tactics and style of play they had been instructed to continue with.
  11. hutton - shit, another thing discovered after todays performance
  12. clark goes to centre half and scores, ball on the floor the whole time, im seeing a pattern develop, ball on floor = goals
  13. some nice passing on the floor and determination from gabby, again with the ball on the floor = a goal suprise? so yet again, we CAN pass it around, lets not excuse the shit tactics for a poor pitch another injury makes the forced substitution and we better
  14. decent passing move from us ending in s across, as i say, no reason we cant pass the ball around instead of hoof it
  15. there is nothing wrong or even hard about clipping the ball short distances to keep passing short, a shite pitch just means you have to slightly adjust, not just hooooooof ireland seems to be able to pass the ball on the floor to a villa player, does he have special football boots which allow him to do this yet others cant? were hoofing it because e-mule heskey is on the pitch, that is the reason, the poor playing surface just gives an excuse which i have already explained could be negated by short passes. as mentioned, it wouldnt matter if it were the perfect playing surface, i suspect we would be doing the exact same thing. depressing but i will take a 1-0 win and bent to stay fit so when we sell him this january for £24.5 million to liverpool it wont have ruined his career through having to put up with such shit tactics week after week after week
  16. oh my god, that was terrible, only to be expected, hoofball xtreme live on espn he wont even try and play football against the joint 4 th worst team in the whole league well done the villa fans for turning up for more punishment on the eye i hope at full time the st johns abulance give out free neck braces
  17. this is not very pretty to watch, i will take 1-0 if we can end the eye pain now please
  18. im guessing you havent watch much of this seasons games then? positives are not just for positives sake were **** shit... hi 5 every one... yeah whooppppy what good does it do to kid yourself that we are not in a tremendous amount of trouble on and off the pitch? he has had a whole preseason and picked who HE WANTS when he made his signings, the reason we havent replaced young and downing is BECAUSE HE DOESNT WANT US TO PLAY THAT WAY! it is not a trick or something, he plays the same now as he ALWAYS has what makes you think he will suddenly change now?
  19. who picks the team? whop watches them in training every day? who instructs the coaches on what style of football to play? who picks the tactics before the match? who picks the tactis and substitutions if things are not going right , during the match? who choses who we sign? if the answer to these and many more questions is " the manager" you have your answer you can try and excuse all of the above and pretend it is down to someone else, the odd game maybe down to players not performing or having an off game. when they do it week in week out but still play, who is responsible for them still playing? when they still play negative anti football, something which anyone with any common sense will have known we would turn into after last year of quick passing from midfield, running and movement off the ball to stand stick and look up in the air for the ball? whose fault is that? we are conforming to every team the ginger clunge has ever managed and you dont think it is down to the manager? you need to get real im afraid.
  20. this is my exact point. how can say its mcleish's fault, the negativity and lack of attacking is down to the players. the negativity is this silly stereotype people are pinning to him because people have heard blues fans say it. as for lack of attacking N zogbia Ireland Gabi Bent dosent look very negative and non attacking to me PLAYERS FAULT, not managers. just because he came from blues dosent make him our enemy. the players play to the system the manager wants if you were talking of 1 game then fair enough, the players got it wrong, we are talking of the whole season, with 1 or 2 blips where it seems the team have ignored the ginger clunge an set themselves up and played well. he tried to defend his shit brand of anti football when he arrived saying he only played that way at the scum because he was playing to the players at his disposals strengths ( forgetting he had been there for 3 seasons, relegating the scum on both occassions in the premier league, a 100% failure record, with his own players he chose to sign) he will not change, he may be a decent championship type manager, the level the scottish premier league is, however he has proven in his 2 seasons in the top fllight and getting his team relegated on both occassions, he is a poor manager. there is nothing to back up anything other than he is a shit manager, the only thing he has for him is one of the luckiest cup runs known to man and then in the final playing against the worst performance i have ever seen from an arsenal team under wenger, they were not capable of a simple pass under no pressure. they then only fluked a goal after the predictable hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooffffff to their 6 foot 6 forward who bumbled the ball into the net after a complete **** up between keeper and defender. then all 11 practically stood on the goal line for the remainder of the match. so a cup win, a cup win v 2 relegations? hmm what brings in more money? what would the fans rather have? and to top it off, all his football was exactly the **** same, shit boring dire , lacking any kind of ideas, invention, skill, just kick it as hard and high in the air as possible and keep your fingers crossed. mistakenly he thinks it will be a 50/50 each time so we are bound to get some results due to hoofing in the air. this single appointment has cost aston villa fc hugely, financially, on the pitch and as a global brand. employing fukner was the single biggest mistake because i believe it was he rather than randy who chose and made the appointment of the ginger clunge. it was also he that argued with MON before MON left, he was photoed laughing and joking with randy a couple hours after MON quit.
  21. it shows how depressing it is that hughes would give the club a huge lift. hughes is the appitamy of average, however i would take average with the potential to improve over shit and no sign of anything but becoming more shit
