  1. He really is. Apart from his media mates, who constantly cover for him, everyone else can see that he's a **** chancer. Like I said the other day, Sherwood without the fun. Rarely has a Villa manager been so painfully out of his depth.
  2. Fulham were excellent, but as usual we helped them to look it. Zero desire, purpose, creativity, plan or anything. They aren't playing for him. It's clear they are going through the motions. Time's up you Scouse word removed.
  3. Horribly inevitable. I actually had a weird nervousness before the game, thinking we might by some miracle recapture some of the Chelsea forward endeavour, but we've been outplayed by a much better footballing side so far. The goal actually came as a relief because we all know the game is more than likely settled now, so we can just disengage and accept it's another loss closer to his departure.
  4. Stevie G is Tactics Tim without any of the tactics or the fun that he offered.
  5. It's not good enough. It's like watching paint dry while someone is pissing in your eyes and we turning in these performances against the worst teams in the division. I don't care if we are 'not losing' there is no momentum or drive, it's just shit. What are we waiting for? Sack him now.
  6. Gerrard is the footballing equivalent of Brexit. The only question is how long it takes to admit that choosing he and it was a mistake.
  7. Obviously a purely hypothetical scenario, but I am interested to guage the responses... If you had to choose between Watkins' genuinely valuable pressing game plus no more goals from him this season. OR Not much pressing at all and 8-10 goals from Archer what would you go for? Guessing the pragmatists might favour Watkins' pressing.
  8. They haven't forgotten everything they know, they don't believe. Confidence is everything in football, especially so for the attacking players. We don't play with belief do we?
  9. It's certainly not an improvement. It isn't going to improve under him.
  10. You are a sports fan, so it won't be new to you that the fortunes of individual players and the team as a whole, are reliant on their belief in what they are doing. Feel confident and it's a lot more likely that you will make the right pass, take your key chances and win. If one or two players are off their game, then you can blame their individual form, but when there is an ongoing absence of coherent play, it's clearly a structural issue. And if the building blocks are wrongly arranged, the individual player's natural instincts are blunted. To my mind, it's obvious they don't believe in him and his ideas and that in turn, is affecting their belief in what they can do themselves.
  11. If you read the rest of my post you would know.
  12. I can and I do blame Gerrard. We didn't win because we don't know what we are doing under him. It was obvious in that game what we had to do, but we didn't because the players lack belief and that is on him. Our football is slow, predictable and timid. It only gets worse when we are forced to express ourselves and show some balls. Only one person to blame for that. There's no real sense we are improving, results aside. At this point, we are just delaying the inevitable. He doesn't know what he is doing and he has to go. Pull the trigger please NSWE.
  13. Probably a bit more to with the fact they appear to know what they are doing and have worked that out pretty quickly, so have overtaken us and are close to leaving us long behind.
  14. Actually, it is just the Villa way and nearly always has been, barring the (very) occasional joy blips. Don't worry though, soon enough, you will come to accept and even love your abuser. Might as well.
  15. Rarely has a win felt so unsatisfying. Booooooooooooooo. Stevie, you are a wank manager. **** off.
  16. Leaving us with only two non firing striker. Surely not.
  17. Could be, though you can't blame people for that. It definitely feels like he is now on borrowed time, but given the perversity of everything Aston Villa, I'm also willing to entertain the idea that despite us signing Dendoncker and Bednarek without his blessing (if that is what has happened), it is they who keep him in a job for a little bit longer. Let's hope not.
  18. Forget all the hope and positivity, we are back to the Villa standard of chaos and disappointment. No question we are in a relegation dogfight, shame our dog is the lame one.
  19. Gerrard to the players: "You should be doing more of this and more of that and I know because I was hugely successful at Liverpool. If you don't do it, you are dropped from the first team". Players: (either as a thought or vocalised): "**** you!"
