  1. **** them, couldn't care less about them if I tried. Would rather have songs for the players who actually deserve them such as Collins, Downing etc.
  2. Sorry Bicks can't agree with you on that one, you can say stop looking through rose tinted glasses but some can say back to you stop looking with a Houllier out frame of mind. No harm in being positive after the past week we've just had.
  3. His first training session was Monday so he had one training session then was straight on the coach up to Wigan on Monday afternoon
  4. Gabby is only on the left so RB's can't beat him for pace
  5. I seriously hope they get dicked on tonight. There will be nothing worse than seeing their smug unemployed unwashed faces at Wembley
  6. Baker will be our first team left back in the not so distant future. Which will allow us to get rid of Warnock ASAP as we now have options.
  7. And financial backing by the owner Which comes with time as you cannot spend 19m on a striker in October
  8. Ha ha was planning on digging that one up sooner or later. He got very annoyed when I said tickaboo...
  9. A steady debut yet an impressive one considering the circumstances. Expected nothing more, nothing less. Give it five games.
  10. Jean Makoun Makoun He comes from the Cameroon We stole this from John Carew Jean Makoun Makoun was the song I heard at the Red Robin in Wigan last night.
  11. Friedel Walker Cuellar Clark Baker Albrighton Makoun Bannan Young Agbonlahor Delfouneso Plenty of first team options to choose from if things go tits over arse from: Dunne, Collins, NRC, Petrov, Downing, Heskey, Delph (if fit) Just think it's key we give a run out to Gabby upfront to prove himself, Delfouneso because he showed promise against SHA, Makoun so he can find his feet a bit more, Bannan so he gets a bit more match time and Baker because he could well be our next LB and allow us to **** Warnock off to Liverpool.
  12. Les Savy Fav are truly, truly brilliant and I think Calories are playing that gig too. What a **** line-up. I have. I like. Thanks for the tip. 8) I love Les Savy Fav. However I'm working that night at The Streets at the O2 so can't go
  13. Reo Coker man of the match for me today. Brilliant almost everywhere, an underrated player. One I would be GUTTED if we sold. Makoun and NRC would be formidable once the former finds his feet and gets used to the pace. For what it's worth I thought Makoun had a brilliant game considering he can't speak English and has only trained with the lads once. Downing wasn't shit but he annoyingly slowed down almost every attack for some reason. I can only recall one attack in the second half where he bust a gut and used his pace to run but that was because there was acres of space. Dunne, Collins and Cuellar rock solid again and a surprisingly brilliant game from Baker too. Gabby was a bit better today and Bent was making some great runs and did a lot more than he did in the Man City game, unlucky not to score in the first half. If only Downing's crosses were perfect he would have bagged himself one or two. Ash was his usual self and never stopped all game, thought he would have give Bent the penalty but took it well and got a deserved goal. All in all a good performance but we need to stop sitting back when we go 1 or 2 ahead.
  14. I've only just seen your signature parisvilla you swine !!!
  15. Young Legionnaire are playing at my mates clubnight next month with Les Savy Fav at the Soundbar on the 25th Feb.. Check out Wild Moccasins - a US band I've just booked for a gig at The Vic in March.
  16. You need to play Milner in CM and **** Barry off. Yaya Toure is one of, if not the, best midfielders in the premiership. Him and Milner in the middle would be immense.
  17. Mike Ashley blew 1 million in a casino last night then tipped the dealer £700.
  18. I think he should take the credit. He saw there was a problem, eradicated it, gave him another chance and he's back to his original form. It should have happened but I'm not sure how many managers would have given him another chance.
  19. Disagree a bit. Houllier made unneccesary problems for himself at times(liverpool game / talking too much) in last few months and regardless of cirumstances has to take critisicism for simply unaccpeatle results and some shocking performances - league position is still a disgrace, However yes done well this transfer window and seems to be better vibes amongst the place at moment and am relatively confident we will do well under him now. Of course. He is far from a saint but he has recieved too much slack for what was actually not a lot his fault. The two things that he's done that annoyed me in the main were the post-Liverpool comments and his treatment of Stephen Ireland. He's done well to turn this around a little bit though.
  20. We've got rid of and dropped some of the players who are no longer interested in playing for the club and results are starting to improve. Coincidence? I think not. It was always going to take time and a change in formation/playing style mid-season was never going to be routine. Win against Wigan and we're only two points off the top half. After such a disasterous season it's not looking too bad now we've been able to get rid of bad influences and bring in a couple of quality additions. Whether or not you like the man he is starting to turn things around and it was ridiculously unfair to judge him based on three or four months. I think it's fair to judge him in 12-18 months where he's had three transfer windows to perform, and I'd say he's done a bloody good job so far in the first one - both with the ins and outs.
  21. I have actually written a piece for Counteract Magazine on my top tips for 2011. clicky
