I'm a big Carlos fan, but I can see this isn't the game for him. He's a solid RB and excellent CB but I think we need Walker's offensive play in this game. If we were playing Stoke or Blackburn, he'd be a shoe-in.

Bradley will start with Makoun. That much is obvious from the OS. So I have no doubt it will be a 442 as last night but with Bradley in for Petrov.

You might have missed the night shot mode. It's REALLY good, I've heard people say it's the best night shot they've seen on any phone and I won't disagree. Everyone seems to miss the setting and think it's auto. Taken under my desk with night mode on. Very dark under there. So with the flash and night shot I find it great. I could probably use more than 5mp though.

is my viewpoint. I'm currently running CyanogenMod 7 nightlies. I get a new update every day with the day's enhancements / bug fixes in. I can't see dual-core phones having such a massive impact as to make the single-cores obsolete. And I'm on the Nexus train now, so if some super dual-core phone with SAMOLED2hyper+PRO comes out, I'll wait until it comes out as a Nexus and upgrade.

With Clark's yellow count this season, I think it'd be a little pointless playing him. Just risking getting another booking. I thought yellows in the FA cup were outside of the Premier League / League cup as they're different associations?

There was a ball, 2nd time he touched it I think, where he had been played into a gully by someone and had a Wigan player go in to challenge for the ball - you could see him quickly look around and flick it behind him over the top and pretty much put Young I think into a 1 on 1, or we got a free kick. Just thought Wow at that.

I wasn't there. Watched on a stream. Really good quality though. I thought he played alright, like a lot of other people commenting (read this thread). Like I said, he did lots right and lots wrong so it amounted to an OK performance.

Sorry, utter rubbish.

Downing was about the same as he has been for most of the games this season. A great outlet, always pops up with the ball and drives out of defence, taking the ball a long way. Real quality with his control and passing and looks a top class player. Only problem is, once he gets to the point of doing the business, he'll invariably choose the wrong option. Won't be confident enough to take a cross on his right foot, or take a snap shot when a space opens up. He's trying, and getting a lot of the ball, but it's just not coming off right now, and it's affecting his confidence, which seems to be a bit brittle. It's just a standard drop in form. He'll pick it back up and will have an end product to the effort pretty soon.

Should have been out of sight at half-time. Everyone gets a 7.5. No-one was perfect, but no hiders. REALLY impressed with Makoun. Kept it simple but so, so tidy.

The worry here is complacency. We beat Man City so Wigan should be a doddle type thinking. Look at how Man Utd take their foot off the gas and slow down against lower teams - They just don't. There's no room for any let-up against anyone. And we should give absolutely everything again.
