  2. Budweiser UK ‏@BudweiserUK 8h8 hours ago To the fans who always believed. A free Bud for everyone 18+ in #Wales. Watch this space. T&C apply. #ThisBudsForYou
  3. you're going to make me go and research this aren't you I know it wasn't in your post, it was some EU spokesperson a day or two ago, said the procedure is to leave, then once you've left you begin to negotiate your new deal. Maelstrom the article goes on to suggest that the stance might not be possible, surely somewhere there is a black n white written down piece of guidance who knows?
  4. We need a serious conversation with the rest of the EU. That can only be done once we have a conservative leader. If it's true that the other EU states really won't negotiate until after we have left then we have a spectacularly serious problem. So serious, you would have to question why nobody told us that this would be the order of events. I was interested and I followed it fairly closely, I didn't know there was no negotiation until after we left. If that is true and that's what is going to happen then the whole remain side of the government need some serious sanction against them for being so derelict in their duty to us. They are all damaged goods, they have all lied for their internal party politics. A real low point in our politics. But they'll get away with it. But, the nation voted to leave. They didn't vote to have a look at what was on offer. they didn't vote to have another round of rock paper scissors. We've got a crisis on our hands and the only thing we can take to the bank is a majority of more than a million votes for leave. Perhaps even the formulation of the question needs to be investigated and actions taken against the negligent. That the young couldn't quite be arsed to vote and now want another chance is a life lesson for them. But just thinking 'ooh I don't like it, let's concoct reasons to void the referendum', well that's not good enough. That's dangerously undemocratic and about as lobotomy stupid as just saying don't let old people vote.
  5. Where's the emergency budget and world war 3? Both sides lied. Neither side directly lied about the actual question on the actual ballot paper. If we have another referendum and remain wins, should we make it best of three? I voted remain. It really is time to move on.
  6. I think it can be over analysed. It's yet another 50 / 50 game that we could win or lose by 1,2,3 or more goals or end up going to penalties. I know that deep level of insight won't be getting me a job as a pundit anytime soon. But the more we look down the team sheet and decide this formation suits that team if they play those players, the more we end up like other teams that over stress. Have a plan, bust a gut sticking to it. Change it once it's clearly beyond saving. Those bookings against Belgium could have done for us, more so than the superb Belgian goal. Any number of teams would have seen key players suspended for a future game we weren't even in yet, and heads would have dropped. But they stuck to a simple plan and players that knew they were suspended 'if' there was a next game still played with everything they had. They just got on with it. Right now, Wales have won more games than any other team in this competition. They've scored more goals than any other team too. If Portugal stick five on Wales on Wednesday, that Wales team will be clapped off the pitch and celebrated when it gets back to the airport. But we could actually win it. In which case the mounting pressure on the Welsh Assembly to give everyone here a day off and a thousand quid cash will only intensify. Our pan disability teams won every game at the festival yesterday. We'll have the cup up the clubhouse on Wednesday. Has to be an omen. That, plus the fact I saw an albino hedgehog the other day.
  7. What's William Hague's view on this whole leadership thing?
  8. It's possible, but then 35% of their 'natural' electorate voted leave (apparently this is the personal failing of Corbyn), so they would need to replace that 35% with new supporters plus find some more on top of that to get anywhere near. Their main problem will be, for all the bluster and marching and tweeting of the last week, an awful lot of those offended and upset at our exit probably won't quite make it out of bed and in to the polling stations...again.
  9. Theresa May had the self awareness to know the tory party is filled with nasty people ready to do nasty things to keep their 'edge' over those less fortunate or less selfish. Spoiled it slightly by then trying to have a prescribed list of what we can and can't do in the privacy of our own bedrooms with our own lovers, but hey, at least she knows what she is, eh.
  10. If he'd stayed at Villa and some how got us the points to survive then Lerner would still be here dicking about with what he thinks the club is worth.
  11. I look forward to next week's prediction for the semi from The Metro. The manager of our local club has just agreed with his missus that they are cutting their two weeks in Spain short and going to Lyon instead. Fingers crossed this prize money filters down and does some good. We've got 650 players and staff on the books for this coming season run on an entirely voluntary basis. Womens football, disability teams, yoof. All the players at all levels pay in subs. The kids are all going to be out in their gardens about now, being Hal Robson Cruyff.
  12. ahh yes, the tory intellectual heavyweight Michael Gove, the man who simply could not see why all schools couldn't be above average.
  13. one more football party without getting maudlin, Wales playing Belgium, in France 100 years after the start of the Somme fingers crossed for a good day for everyone
  14. Eating yourself unhealthy. No more or less a thing to comment on than drinking yourself unhealthy surely? Or taking drugs you know will harm you? Or smoking when there is a 50 year of science that says it's the smoking that is killing you, that's why you're outside the hospital entrance in your pyjamas. Except you can actually give up cider, vodka, crack and ketamin. Bit trickier to give up food.
  15. clever enough to not be obviously racist whilst egging on the simple minded to think racism is now ok
  16. @maqroll the allergies video, that beach that appears after about 3 minutes, I love that place, walk it a couple of times a week.
