  1. what advice did Giggs give? skip your international duties and stay at home dicking the sister in law?
  2. Perhaps she'll just get some of her old 'Go Home' vans back out of the garage
  3. fwiw, I don't think a new PM is something that should trigger a general election. We vote for our local MP to represent us. We do not vote for a PM (well obviously they do in his constituency but yeah you know....) what I was clumsily trying to say, was it was just one more thing that a competent opposition should be loading in to the kitchen sink before they throw it
  4. It would appear that in an effort to out do the tories, labour have managed to upset a jewish labour MP (Ruth Smeeth) at the launch of their report in to anti-semitism within the labour party. At some point in time I've fallen down the rabbit hole and I'm now actually in the TV whilst a Christmas episode of The Thick Of It is being broadcast.
  5. I'm not suggesting it's constitutionally necessary. Just that a more organised opposition should be having so many free hits it would be painful to watch. Not just painful to watch because somehow the opposition is utterly incompetent in its role of holding the government to account.
  6. Can't help feeling it's about now that an official opposition party should / could have it's boot on the throat of a tory party that's on the floor in self inflicted chaos. A leader in a sober suit, at the despatch box, asking one or two simple direct questions along the lines of what the merry **** is going on. Call an election you bunch of lying in fighting con men. But no. Let's see if we can get 50 people to like Angela Eagle on facebook. Absolute cretins.
  7. don't be so hard on yourself man, that's what we're here for
  8. What an absolute right royal turd of a bottle dropping con man.
  9. I believe that was being touted as part of the solution by Lapal a couple of days ago. Do we know whether he was at the rally?
  10. Gordon Murray creator of Trumpton
  11. My children collect them. Horrifically expensive for what is a very simple mass produced plastic toy. But then it should never be for adults to decide if a toy is any good or not. I've got to buy a couple more in the next couple of weeks. This will involve a visit to 'Forbidden Planet', which is always interesting.
  12. Shirley Liam Fox can't be serious about a bid for leadership? That must just be some hope that he'll get 4 or 5 votes that would be useful to someone else that he can then trade for a nice minor ministerial role that will allow him some foreign travel. He loves a bit of foreign travel. Doesn't always declare it in the members interests, but that's just boring admin.. It's all the foreign travel that caused him to run up a £20,000 phone bill he put on expenses. When that came out, he did promise to actively look for a more competitive tariff so fair play to him. Fox the millionaire that put in an expenses claim for a 1 mile car journey totalling 3p. Then I suppose we can overlook that strange episode with his unofficial special advisor? The one that was shacked up in Fox's flat printing his own business cards, whilst Fox claimed for having to rent a property elsewhere. Then had to pay back over £20,000 of mortgage expenses. Nah, I don't see the winner being Liam Fox. The original B'stard. Damaged goods. If they elect him it would be like saying politicians are allowed to be cheating scumbags out for every last penny they can skin us for.
  13. I can't link to it as it's a pdf, but a YouGov poll of 2,000 over the last 3 days gives Angela Eagle an approval rating as Labour leader of....... 1% go for it!
  14. The number of incidents is very small in the grand scheme of things, important to the individuals, note worthy, but relatively small. I think the police reported something like a 50% increase in reported incidents for a comparable time scale. But that 50% increase meant a rise to 80 reports. But I don't think it can be disputed that in a small number of mentally deficient people, the 'victory' of the anti immigration campaign has emboldened them. Hopefully for a very short window of time. Not a twitter anecdote, not a reheated myth, there is an Italian cafe in the centre of my town that has been there all my adult life. On the weekend they had one or two people going in there and telling them to 'go home'. It's pathetic, it's one or two people in a town of thousands. They've since said they've been absolutely swamped with well wishers. There are pricks out there and they've been encouraged to be even bigger pricks by Farage.
  15. ....having been advised thus far by a man that doesn't trust facts who himself is taking advice from his wife that writes shite for the Daily Mail
