  4. Good view on the mans approach to organisational culture. Great talk but shocking audio..... bear with it!
  5. Its the 'Mr James' character that bugs me as he's totally winging all the way. No way deals as big as these are taken on a promise without any due diligence?
  6. Watched it, enjoyed it but still not 100% on its credibility. Definitely worth watching though
  7. From The Guardian: Dean Smith has been speaking, about Villa’s signing of Ross Barkley and more: “We’re pleased we’ve managed to get him, we’ve sold the project to him, and can give him the opportunity for game time to get into the Euros with England next year. I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far, and he’s ready to go straight away, fit and ready.” As for further signings, Smith said: “We’re happy with what we’ve got at the moment, we’re comfortable with that, but we’ll keep our finger on the pulse to see if anyone comes in for any of our lads.”
  8. https://www.theguardian.com/law/2020/sep/09/regulators-investigate-elite-london-law-firm-mishcon-de-reya One of the UK’s most prestigious law firms is being investigated by regulators who have spent at least two years examining it, sending investigators into its central London offices. The Guardian has established that the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is conducting a complex investigation into Mishcon de Reya, involving forensic and anti-money laundering investigators.... ...One of the reports is understood to have related to an HM Revenue and Customs investigation into transfers of Premier League football players, while the second detailed allegations about the firm’s work for clients connected to an elaborate €100m (£89m) fraud. I wonder how much impact this has had on the summers action so far?

  14. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000kxwq First Episode of this was very good. Bit of a headspinner to see a character from Generation Kill appearing as a Talking head, looking like he's not handled the passage of time since the war too well...
  15. This was great. Thanks for the post. Started watching this because the firm I work for has just created a product that absorbs PFOS/PFAS from water. Looks like we'll have a lot of work to do...

Herd immunity.... https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2020-03-13/china-japan-korea-coronavirus-reinfection-test-positive?_amp=true&__twitter_impression=true Three days later, though, Wang tested positive for the coronavirus again.
