  1. Yeah it's mostly fine, I think the one thing they have changed over the years is the chips. We did have an 'All out attack chip', I'm sure there were others that I cant remember. There's just been so many pens given this season though, at the start I almost wildcarded to a team of 8 pen takers. Defensive mids could get 2 for a clean sheet, it's complicating the game though and they really want to keep it simple and I cant blame them for that.
  2. I took Mount out my team, he's a key player for them and they have such big games with FA Cup/CL now. Chelsea are a real pain, even Kepa is being rotated in tonight apparently, worse than Pep. My team is very template at the moment (89%), it's boring but sometimes you have to ride the template period out. The big hitters have been poor this season which means there's not much room for differentials as budget hasn't been an issue for most. I'd like to see them change it up a bit for next season, you'd think Sterling, Auba, Mane, Jesus, Werner etc have to come down in value and I cant see any medium to big hitters that will go up. I think having 1 point less for a goal if it's a penalty would liven up the captain situation, I will always pick Kane over Son purely because of the pens.
  3. Under the current set up, the football league needs them. Get them back for a few years, fix the system, then **** them off.
  4. We still have to play 4 of these lot. Kick them out now and give us 12 points, thanks.
  5. They have a better set up of balance in terms of keeping teams fresh, the youth players going to the worst teams is a good idea but the trade off is a system where the league is dead. Baseball teams play 162 games in a season just to be seeded for the play offs, pointless.
  6. Would be funny if they all got kicked out the domestic league and only had that league to go to. 12 teams, you play each other 8 times in a season home/away twice and then 4 neutral venues around the world. This is all just to be seeded for the play offs where they again play each other in a best of 7 series until there's only one team left standing and they are crowned World Champions. That's how the yanks like it.
  7. Haven't seen too many factual statements about this league or what it entails but I thought that this is just a breakaway European competition to replace the CL and they still want to continue with domestic football as normal. I'd have no issue with this if the qualification is still based on league performance, I'm guessing they can't get the ball rolling with this as they'd have to go via the FA/Premier League who will shut it down straight away so they have done the next best thing and gone to the top clubs. I can't stand UEFA/Fifa so will be interesting to see what happens here. I don't think the English football pyramid will survive if you take the top 4 teams out of it, the money they bring in is huge.
  8. It's that time you buy all the shit coins and watch them pump and try to get out before the crash. I held all my coins from 2017 for a while, not doing that again.
  9. Yeah the longer this season has gone on the more I hate it. There's always at least one player in my team, usually Fernandes, that if they do well I lose rank from it. Guess that's what we get for looking at EO. If you weren't taking the game that seriously I'm sure you'd have loads of fun cheering on Kane before realising you have lost rank. Lots of people in this boat, maybe it's a better way of life? Thought I'd check my captain points for the season, there's clearly going to be a skill (and also luck) gap to this so maybe I'd want to keep it even with having to root against my own team at times. I'm not sure what the average is but if anyone else wants to check you can do so here (https://www.premierfantasytools.com/fpl-captain-picks-analyzer/)
  10. That is a good point that I didn't consider, 10 might still be fine over taking a hit to get 11.
  11. Got a bit of a problem with the 5 blanks I'm about to have next week. Triple Spurs so can't take any of them out and it's likely one of Stones or Dias will play against us but I don't know which so they both stay, whoever gets rested will be replaced by Dallas this week. That leaves me with just Digne off the bench, not much insurance. Chelsea have very tough games coming up and rotation will be hard and I can't stomach another week without the dancing man child. Mount > Lingard. Triple Captain Kane, which feels a bit crap because everyone else will at least have him as captain but it is what it is.
  12. Well it somehow gets worse, Calvert Lewin is out and Digne plays. I may use my wildcard with the only purpose being to get these two frauds out my team.
  13. 38 with Calvert and Digne left. If Digne doesn't play I get Dallas off the bench, that would be the best thing he's done for me in a long time.
  14. Been saying it over the last few weeks, good player when we don't have the ball. If we want to become a side who are challenging for top 8-6 places then we need more players who are good with the ball. He can still be a good squad player but shouldn't be starting every game next season IMO.
  15. If the buy back clause is too cheap they won't care. Loan him out for a season to Spain again or just make a profit with a loan to buy, they have a few options but I think they try and get him back.
  16. Ramsey is much quicker than Davis and can close down space better. If we were losing the game I'd fully expect KD to have come on.
  17. I do mind but this is a defensive team set up because its a very tough game. Nakamba, Trez both added to the line up, not good on the ball but very good defensively. McGinn isn't good on the ball either, I wasn't expecting anything decent today, We need to get better ball players in, Sanson is the type we will be going for. We are progressing but the squad depth is an issue.
  18. I'd suggest you don't watch our next game because we will have even less of the ball.
  19. Because we aren't chasing the game and need to keep the press/shape in midfield. Can't just stick Davis up top with Watkins and not expect Liverpool to absolutely overrun us in midfield.
  20. I don't see much need to make loads of changes to my team and there's not many players that I am desperate to get in. I don't see anyone being anywhere near essential at the moment. I have triple Spurs for the DGW next week. Triple Leicester who have the best set of fixtures over the next 5 GWs. I like to see what happens with the teams in Europe and the potential DGW + rearranged fixtures before making a decision. Ideally I was hoping the re-arranged fixtures would be in place by now so I could know when I can get all Everton/Villa out of my team but its taking too long so it may end up a reversal where they are gone soon and I wildcard back in later.
